Last time they met

Rd 7, 2018: Adelaide 19.11 (125) d Carlton 10.10 (70) at the Adelaide Oval

  • Our first game against Carlton champion Bryce Gibbs.
  • The Crows were just way too good for us, as they always are in Adelaide.
  • Mitch McGovern kicked 5 goals.
  • Paddy Dow kicked his first goal for his career.

What I'm excited about

  • The final chance to watch our boys until 2019.
  • This is the ultimate "all or nothing" proposition, and I'm sure the boys will be looking forward to getting one more opportunity to win a game.
  • Simply another game closer to the magical 100 for a lot of our list.
  • Patrick Cripps gets one more chance to poll 3 Brownlow votes.
  • Harry and Charlie.
  • Guys playing for their careers.

What I'm nervous about

  • The Crows simply have a far superior list on paper, with bigger bodies and an explosive attacking style.
  • Young Carlton bodies that are limping to the finish line.
  • Caleb and Jacob have looked vulnerable at times this season when matched up against bigger bodied forwards.
  • Eddie Betts at Etihad.

Team Selection

IN - Matt Shaw

OUT - Cameron Polson

I would like to see what Matt has to offer before the season ends - I don't think we've got enough of a sample size to understand if he is one to pursue with.

Polson's inability to win the ball for a midfielder is alarming. Unless he's played in the forward line as a pressure forward, he's a liability for us right now.
