On Saturday, April 21st, 2001, the 2001 XFL season concluded with the Los Angeles Xtreme defeating the San Francisco Demons 38-6 in the XFL's Million Dollar Game to win the first and only championship of the original incarnation of the XFL.
Xtreme quarterback Tommy Maddox was the MVP for the season, while Xtreme kicker Jose Cortez claimed the Million Dollar Game MVP honors. Orlando Rage coach Galen Hall earned Coach of the Year.
