Yesterday I highlighted competitive eating champion Kobayashi and his hot dog battle against The Beast, a literal bear. Well if you thought that was intense, you ain't seen nothin' yet! I have another Kobayashi vs wild animal eating match to bring you today: Kobayashi vs Bogart, and boy is it even more amazing than the one with the bear.

In this corner, weighing in at 128 lbs, hailing from Nagano, Japan, your reigning, world class, competitive eating champion...Takeru Kobayashi!

Kobayashi is a downright legend, taking home over a dozen world records in eating. His accolades include:

1. Eating 100 pork buns in 12 minutes THE DAY AFTER eating 83 dumplings in 8 minutes.

2. Eating 58 bratwursts in 10 minutes.

3. Eating 14 Twinkies in 1 minute.

4. Eating 106 tacos in 10 minutes.

5. Eating 15 and a half pizzas in 12 minutes...WOW!

And in the other corner, weighing in at 1 oz, from parts unknown, the challenger...Bogart!

Bogart is the star of the "Tiny Hamster" Youtube series, where a tiny hamster eats various tiny foods. If you've spent any time on social media in the past few years, surely you've seen his videos. Yes, Bogart is that famous tiny hamster, and yes, he challenged Kobayashi to a hot dog eating competition in 2014.

What transpires has been described as justification for the entire Internet:

Unfortunately, Kobayashi (eating 10 hot dogs in just one minute) lost to Bogart by a single hot dog. Now, I still have immense respect for Kobayashi, but you have to admire the immense power of that tiny hamster.

During my research, I discovered that Bogart has actually been accused of cheating in the competition. Supposedly, he wasn't eating the hot dogs, just stuffing them in his big cheek pouches for later. Bogart has not contested these claims yet, and I think a formal investigation needs to be launched, or at least a rematch needs to occur. If that little bastard thinks he can get away with cheating just because he's so dang adorable, he's got another thing comin'.
