Last night, the Phoenix Fuel Masters defeated the Meralco Bolts with a total score of 96-86 and got their second straight win in the PBA Governor's Cup. Phoenix Fuel Masters has 4 wins and 1 loss standing while the Meralco Bolts has 1 win and 3 losses.

LA Revilla tallied 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and declared as the best player of the game. He lead the team and made some successful plays for the Phoenix Fuel Masters to won the game. While their import, Eugene Phelps, got 24 points and 10 rebounds. The two former Gilas Pilipinas players, Calvin Abueva and Matthew Wright, of Phoenix Fuel Masters made 16 points each.

Meralco Bolts did very well in the game even though their two core players, Ranidel de Ocampo and Jared Dillinger, were not there. Both of these players are still hurt from their injury. The Meralco Bolts was controlled by Chris Newsome who made the highest score on their team with a total of 18 points. While Allen Durham, Meralco's import, has only 16 points. They can't stop Phoenix's import because they are lack of big players.

Phoenix Fuel Masters will play Magnolia Hotshots in their next game on September 22 at Passi City, Iloilo and will try to win for their 3 straight victory. While the Meralco Bolts will recover against Rain or Shine Elasto Painters on September 28 at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
