One of the giants of Gilas, JuneMar Fajardo will be back in court next month. JuneMar Fajardo is a player of San Miguel Beerman and a great contributor in the team. He wasn't able to play the Governor's Cup last August because of his injury. In the absence of JuneMar, Christian Standhardinger took the responsibility of Fajardo and also give an impressive performance from the San Miguel Beerman team. Fajardo's condition right now is being monitored by his head PT and may not able to practice with the team yet. During the match against Iran, Fajardo would like to play with the team but doctor advises him not to insist to play yet.
Another good news for the team Gilas is that the other giants of Gilas Greg Slaughter will join the team and his eligibility to play with the team is already cleared. Greg Slaughter suffered an ankle sprain during Governors Cup. He is eager and excited to play with Gilas and same as well with JuneMar Fajardo.
The "twin-towers" JuneMar Fajardo and Greg Slaughter will play against Kazakhstan this coming November 30 at Smart Araneta Coliseum. Both players were not able to play against Iran due to injury. SBP President Al Panlilio was hoping that this two players will not have injuries anymore because they are going to play on their team in PBA and also they will be healthy in the incoming game against Kazakhstan.
After the match with Kazakhstan, they will face again the giants of Iran this coming December 3 which will be held in the Philippines. Some of the players of Gilas will also play this coming February like Jayson Castro, Terrence Romeo, Andray Blatche, and Troy Rosario. Can't wait to see this two big men of Gilas play in court and hope this coming game against Iran they will win. Good luck team Philippines
