Quarterfinals has shown really amazing basketball matches from the eight best basketball teams that qualify from the preliminary round. We have seen that elimination of the Philippines from the hands of South Korea and Iran eliminated Japan as well.
Just recently, Syria failed to advance to semi-finals after being defeated by Chinese Taipei in a very exciting match after Syria tried to recover from the outscoring in the last quarter after they were being bombarded by shooters in the first three quarters but still, in the end, Syria was not able to race time and resulted to their defeat.
In the China and Indonesia match, Indonesia having a hard time scoring due to some more experienced players from China especially that they had their two NBA players. But still Jamarr Andre Johnson of Indonesian team manage to contribute 20 points but the efforts were still not enough since Abudushalamu Abudurexiti of China has scored 24 points which balanced the effort exerted by Jamarr.
Semi-Finals
In semi-final round, a match between South Korea and Iran will be played in the first game. This can be a clash between Ratliffe and Haddadi who are both point and rebound leaders. On the other hand, both Chinese Teams will be meeting each other in semi-finals and both of these teams have remarkable standings in the Group Stage matches. Chinese Taipei with 3-0 record while China with a 2-0 record. Their match is a test of skill and might to which of them will hold the top and move towards the finals.
Fighting in Lower Brackets
The Philippines will take on Japan after both of them lost their chances in quarterfinals, they will try to compete for 5th-8th position with Syria and Indonesia also. Even if these teams were not able to make it into the semi-finals they still have done their very best and manage to bring some fight while making their country proud. Still Kudos to these teams.
