Both China and Philippines now eligible to advance themselves to quarterfinals in 5x5 Asian Games Basketball. On their, Group Palestine withdraw their entry making it a three battle between Kazakhstan. The Philippines won against Kazakhstan with a score of 59 - 96 while China won against Kazakhstan with score 66 - 83. On their Group China really excel where they beat the Philippines with a close match of 80 - 82. Now China got the top seed in their Group.
In Group A, South Korea really gives amazing performance beating all three national teams under his Group. South Korea automatically advance to quarterfinals. While Thailand and Indonesia are still in a crucial position to which of them will advance to quarterfinals.
In Group B, both Iran and Syria are now eligible to qualify in quarterfinals since only two participating teams are active and that the United Arab Emirates withdrew their entry. Iran and Syria will be just fighting for the top seed on their Group.
In Group D, still, it is not yet determined to which two teams will qualify. As of now, Japan is on the lead with 2 wins and 1 loss but both Chinese Taipei and Qatar still undetermined to which of them will perform better on their upcoming match.
South Korea's performance
South Korean basketball team really did well during their games. They manage to beat Indonesia with a 65 - 104. The scores really tell to all that South Korean team will be one of the most points hunger team. Next, to that, they beat Mongolia with 108 - 73 scores. Lastly, against Thailand with 117 - 77.
I am sure that the national team that would match up with South Korea will having a hard time. Let's just see how much South Korea can offer into the tournament.
