Iran's Petrochimi has started dominating their bracket on the ongoing Group Phase in FIBA Asia Championship. First, they win against Korea's SK Knights with their 62 - 77 final scoring. The opening of the first quarter was really great when Iran made a successful three-point shot that really builds up the confidence of the Iranians into the game. But they are not really done yet of what they have started. Putting some continuous scoring for Iran while Korea having a hard time on countering score.
In around four minutes in the quarter, Korea's DaJuan Summers just made a good three-point shot and since Korea is longing to close the gap, they took some chances on some three-points but several shots are missed. And so, Iran never put to halt their impressive shots and continue to gain more score that leaves to a 7 - 24 at the end of their first quarter match.
Still, there had been some several missed three-point shots from Korea on their effort to increase their score from a long-nailed to 7 points. Iran still not satisfied with the gap score, still, continue to dominate the game. Iran having high efficiency in the game really been a great advantage for them. They mostly get the ball in rebounds which gives them enough opportunity to make some offensive play as well as building up a stronger defense.
Strongly Iran leaded third quarter with almost Korea's current score with their effective assists and some offensive efforts. And finally on the final quarter Iran taking low their pressure into the game since they know that they are currently on the winning side. Their basketball game ended with 62 - 77 in favor of Iran.
On their next game, they encounter Chinese Taipei's Pauian where Iran dominates entirely from first to the very last quarter. Even though both teams are equal in their two-point area shooting, Iran has the upper hand on their effectiveness on the three-point area. Their accuracy in three-point really helps them to take the lead even if Chinese Taipei put more of their trust in the free-throw area since it is what they most needed to catch up with Iran's lead.
But even so, dominating rebounds is the best key for Iran to win the game. Iran wins with final score 63 - 96. Iran will face China's Liaoning Flying Leopards on their third match. Currently, China has not performed quite good on their previous games, I am sure that China will be having a hard time in their match against Iran.
