After the events of Group Phase basketball matches of all participating teams in FIBA Asia Championship. The final four that would represent the semi-finals are already determined and will be competing for each other for their chance to make it into the championship. Both teams Iran and Japan are declared undefeated on their corresponding brackets in which they get ahead towards other teams. They do have different styles of their basketball but what's really important is that they manage to perform well in their Group Phase matches.
Iran has the overwhelming power in terms of offensive and defensive rebounds due to their body built and capability to handle pressure within the keyhole area. As for Japan, they are really good on putting some hard-hitting three-points since they do have sharpshooters in their team. Now, the question is that, if the Philippines and Korea can handle the competition on those undefeated teams or they will end up the same as the other teams that they have defeated in the process.
The Philippines made it successfully to semi-finals
It was really amazing that the Philippines just made it on time when they really need it. Their final win against Lebanon really changes the flow of their road to glory on this competition. After they had recently lost two matches consecutively, team Meralco Bolts from the Philippines really determined how they could prove again that they can still put up a good competition in International Sports.
Their win on their final match was really a boost of confidence that they could still put up a fight in Group Phase. That win is really the need most for the Philippines and luckily through the massive effort and dedication as a team plus teamwork in it, they had successfully grabbed the opportunity to be part of the top four teams in FIBA Asia Championship.
Korea top contender in Semi-Finals
Korea only lost to Iran in their bracket with not so high gap in their scores has a high chance of winning in the semi-finals and might represent in the finals of the tournament. On their last win against Chinese Taipei's Pauian, they had really put some good marks on their field goal percentage as well as they had worked really well on rebounding. Their frequent ball possession really gives them the pathway to create more opportunity to take some offensive play.
With the full control of Korea in the game, even though Chinese Taipei put some good marks on three points. Still, Korea strongly finishes the game with excellent performance.
