Yesterday, I shared with you that I would be powering down 12,000 Scorum Power over the next year to support betscorum.com. If we want to bring in new users and bettors due to our thriving betting platform, we have to be placing and accepting a large amount of bets at attractive, or at least competitive, odds.

As I mentioned, my effort by itself may not make much of a difference in the grand scheme of things, but if the larger accounts and well-known users make significant efforts to support the betting platform, it could have a large impact. I've been inspired by the Steem Betting Community crew and their contests, giveaways, support, and more, all around the betting platform, and I'm doing this and looking for other ways to support betscorum.com to do my part.

Although I am powering down, I don't want to lose a single coin. In fact, I would love to gain a few along the way. Failing to plan is planning to fail, so I'm not going into this without some sort of plan. It may be flawed, but here is my current plan, which may give you something to consider if you also choose to power down in order to place bets on betscorum.com

My Plan

Every liquid SCR I receive or earn, from powering down, winning contests, transferring from Scorum Poker, etc., will be bet on betscorum.com. This will be a bare minimum of 12,000, but it's more likely to be 15,000+. Here are the rules I've created that I intend to follow.

Rules:

As mentioned, every SCR I have, earn, receive, etc. will be placed in bets over the next year.
Bets will be made in the week that I receive the SCR.
A maximum of 25 SCR will be placed on a single bet.
A maximum of 50 SCR will be wagered on a single match. (Example: 25 SCR on the winner of a match and 25 SCR on the over/under)
Bets will be based on the amount of SCR I have available to bet and my confidence in the bet. In most scenarios, it will be in "units" of 5 SCR. If I choose a bet and my confidence is 3/5, I'll bet 15 SCR on that bet.
After the bets for a day have settled, I will power up 90% of what I have received back. The other 10% will go back into future bets.
My bets will be a mix of placing my own odds and accepting what''s available.
I will make my picks based on research and my gut instinct. I'll take some risks but also bet on many favorites if I too believe that they will win.
I will track my results in units and percentages (not total SCR won/lost).
