Setting out with the aim to show how you can win £10k a year from in-depth analysis of Pattern races.

The adjusted ratings shortlist for this race is as follows:

Princess Yaiza 110

Ballet Shoes 107

Dynabee 106

Ballet Shoes is stepping up from a mile and being by Galileo out of a Johannesburg mare you’d have to think it could bring about some improvement especially with this also being only her second run of the season. That said I’m not sure she is ready for this big competitive field over a quite stiff 1m4f on soft ground and the jockey bookings would suggest the owner fancies the chances of their other runner Alwaysandforever.

Dynabee is lightly-raced and still open to plenty of improvement but she certainly didn’t give the strong impression that 1m4f on soft ground was what she required when down the field over 9f last time. From a stable that has been in good she’s not one I’d wanting to be siding with.

If PRINCESS YAIZA was trained by a bigger stable she’d probably be considerably shorter in the market. Her form behind Sea Of Class and Magic Wand is far beyond that of anything else in the race and she ran well last time under a big weight in a handicap when staying on strongly to finish second. She stays this trip really well, goes well on soft ground, comes from a stable in decent form and at 11–4 is value. For me she’s a 7–4 shot so we have to back her.

Suggested Bet (Scale £10 — £100):
