The Reverend's picks for the games played August 21 - August 22
For this edition of the EFL Midweek Action, we have 34 games that are played today and tomorrow in the following leagues:
- EFL Championship (10 games)
- EFL League One (12 games)
- EFL League Two (12 games)
EFL Championship
If the model is correct, this could be a good week to be a Swansea fan. Here the model gives the edge to the home team. Both sides are unbeaten since the start of the season with Leeds playing much better, imho. I wouldn't follow its prediction here.
On the other hand, unlike the last season, the model doesn't think much about Millwall this one. Unfortunately for me, the Lions keep proving my model wrong.
EFL League One
Here we have much more colorful picks. The model even has predicted two draws and that doesn't happen that often.
EFL League Two
A lot of interesting picks here... Bury @4.20 and Grimsby Town @5.14 look tempting, but I'm not yet confident in the model's performance to go with either.
Sure, I'll place the micro bets, but no serious bet will be placed here. If I had a gun to my head, I'd go with the scaled down versions of these bets:
- Bury +0.5 @1.952
- Grimsby +0.75 @1.970
