The curse of League One continues... the model just can't break it there!

The League One continues to humiliate my prediction model. The main reason being too many matches ending up in a tie. This game week 6/12 games finished that way and since most prediction models (including mine) are not that good at predicting draws we have what we have - a huge loss.

Let's take a look at how the model performed this week:

This week we had 45 games in total. Now, ignore the first line in the table above and you'll see that model is doing well in 2 leagues. But, getting just 1 correct pick out of 12 in the League One has killed the profits. Not only that, we went down 3 units.

Now, let's look at the complete picture to see how much the model's performance in the League One is killing us:

Remove the League One and we have a small profit - 1.132 units. But we won't do that. It is what it is... there's always the next week and who knows, perhaps the model will start performing as we want it to in that cursed league :-)

That would be it for the week 6 model's performance report, but we are not done yet.

Introducing McGee

Some of you may not know, but there's a Sports Betting Community on discord that I'm involved with. I invite you to join us

Currently, we are testing a bot and if you want to join the beta test send me a dm (beat-the-bookies#6054). The purpose of the bot is to help you keep track of your favorite scorum authors.

Let's say that you enjoy reading the posts by 10 authors and you want to support them with your votes, but you're a busy guy and you don't have enough time to manually visit each blog.

No problem, tell the bot what authors you want to follow and it will keep an eye on them.

Once you find some free time and want to see what your favorites were up to, just send the !list command to the bot in the #talk-to-mcgee channel of the SBC discord server and you'll get back the list of all the blogs that have new posts that you have not read and voted on.

McGee can tell you the price of !scr, !btc, !steem, or !sbd, too.

During the beta test, I have to manually add you and your list to the bot, but once the tests are finished you will be able to edit your list (adding/removing the authors) by talking to the bot.

That would be all for today, thank you for reading and good luck!

If you want to support the Sports Betting Community I invite you to vote for our delegates:
