So I've been trying to get my bets in for Stimp1024's January and I've been off to a great start with my initial bets. My strategy was to take a low level of risk across 10~ bets of 50 SCR each. I collected on my first four bets before hitting my first loss on my fifth bet.

Most of my bets have ended up being very close, outside of Man City winning. I had a late third goal in Man City v Wolverhampton to hit the 2.5 over, I had a tight 2-1 game from the Egypt league. A bit of a shootout with Real Sociedad pulling out a 3-2 victory in the second half. So it was no surprise when todays match needed extra time to determine the outcome.

I had bet on a draw in the Angers SCO v Bordeaux match and through 90 minutes I had been correct. Unfortunately for me, Bordeaux scored in extra time to steal the win and land me with my first loss. It was also the longest odds that I've taken so far so while it would have been nice to hit my five win in a row, I'm still okay seeing my first loss.

From my 500 SCR that I started with, I've recouped just over 250 back and still have 6 bets on the dockets over the rest of the week. I'm pretty optimistic that I will see some return on my initial round of betting and even if I do see a string of loses, I've enjoyed my betting so far.

Here are my six remaining matches, if I can snag at least two more wins I will be happy. Anything above that would be amazing. Outside of selecting a few draws, my bets are all pretty tame. I don't know enough about soccer to really gauge how risky my selections are but I'm confident I'll see a few more wins.

After these matches I should have enough bets done to qualify for the contest and depending on tomorrows matches, I might even sneak in a few more bets!
