I took something of a hit yesterday (-1.65 units) with Club Brugge not getting further than a 0-0 draw against Eupen. It was one of those matches where the worst-case scenario happened seeing a poor club Brugge (similar to the match against Oostende). Most times even in a case like this they still manage to win by a couple of goals. The ref and VAR did not really help when they denied them a clear penalty (Gif) in the 2nd half. These losses happen so let's move on to yet another day with new matches to bet on...
Kortrijk vs Anderlecht
The pattern so far or Anderlecht is that They don't play all that bad but have difficulties to finish their chances. Their start of the match and first halves in general have been quite solid and they are improving. Also, the defensive side of the game wit Sandler and Kompany who really stands out has been a lot better compared to their first match and Goalkeeper Van Crombrugge works much better into their system compared to Diddillion. Chadli joined the team and will likely be in the starting eleven filling the wing-back position. They lack pure striker quality but it looks like they will play with an actual striker this time (Thelin) instead of Gerkens. I have not been impressed by what I saw from Kortrijk so far especially in their first halves. They were a home over / away under side last season and it looks like it will be similar this year. Against Charleroi, they kept on pushing for the win. My Bet early this week shared on Twitter / Discord at the time of taking and in previous posts is Anderlecht 1st Half +0 @ 1.773 and took extra in BTC on Nitrogensports along with tracking it on Copytip where it can be followed automatically at the price I took it. The odds by now dropped to 1.666 on Pinnacle. I will also keep an eye out for the Over but don't fully trust Anderlecht in their scoring ability just yet.
Mechelen vs Cercle Brugge
Mechelen played a great match at home against Genk winning deserved 3-1 and a poor match away against Anderlecht. Not they play at home against Cercle Brugge who are on the bottom of the table with 0 points. Cercle has a young team and they are bound to make mistakes. They usually start pretty good with lots of enthusiasm but seem to be unable to keep a lead after they scored. This is pretty much again what I will be looking for. I do see Cercle Brugge capable of scoring and took a small bet on Both To Score @1.87 and will be looking to add more live if match picture and odds show to be favorable.
Waasland-Beveren vs Genk
Racing Genk despite still having a solid team with great players no longer has the magic it had under Clement. The main reasons I see for this is the fact that they have a new coach who simply things much more defensively which was also stated by one of the players in a post-match interview along with the idea that they have an impossible standard to live up to. I believe they compare themselves to what it used to be which puts a huge amount of pressure on their back. Waasland Beveren has played fairly well offensively but they have a huge problem in the offense giving away way too many chances. The betting lines are very much set to the situation right now and I will wait it out live to see how the match flows. No Pre-game Bets
