It was a good Saturday making around +0.8 units mostly thanks to some corners bets. Again 3 matches today and in each of the matches, there is at least 1 team that has something to play for.

Current standing before the final matches in Playoff 2A

Club Brugge vs Antwerp

Club Brugge failed to keep the race for the title alive by losing against Standard. They are sure of the 2nd place spot and basically, have nothing to play for aside from finishing the season off with a home win. Antwerp gave their 3rd place away against Standard because they were not sharp enough overall against AA Gent who took the win in the final seconds of that match. Antwerp does not have their faith in their own hands and need at least a draw if Standard loses against Genk or a Win in Case Standard takes a point. I expect them to start this match again very organized luring on the counter waiting to take any risks until they get news from the score in the other match. My lean is on the visitors but I don't have the balls to bet them pre-game. So much relies on the result in the other match and Club Brugge could easily win by multiple goals late if Antwerp needs a goal leaving space in the back. This one can get very interesting for potential live bets.

AA Gent vs Anderlecht

AA Gent currently is in a similar run to the end of the regular season. They managed to really finish strong their in a match where the draw was also enough against Stvv and I expect a similar scenario today. Anderlecht remain overrated, they had one of their worst seasons in a long time and it would only be logical for them to finish badly. The 5th spot still has a fair chance to give a European ticket if Waasland and Mechelen relegate because of match-fixing and The playoff 1 team wins the match against the playoff 2 winner. It also feels like AA Gent puts a bit more importance on the potential Europa League qualifiers ticket. I did take a small initial bet on AA Gent -0.25 @ 2.19. AA Gent is not the team to speculate on the draw which they showed against Stvv so I do expect goals at some point in the match and will be looking out for that live. Big news for Anderlecht today with Vincent Kompany returning as player-coach, I don't think this will have an influence on this match even though it might inspire the team. I don't think it's a bad thing that they don't play in the Europa League next season.

Racing Genk vs Standard

Racing Genk is the fully deserved champion while standard can be sure of the 3rd place which would guarantee them extra weeks of vacation. Often times teams that became champion have some kind of decompression in the last match and the fact that the party was only a couple days ago won't help. Knowing coach Clement he won't shy away from making some substitutions and he already stated that he will give some young players a chance. Standard has been quite bad on the road but I do believe they have a good chance of taking points home and locking down the 3rd place. I am waiting for the final line-up and will be watching that very closely. If there are rotations the odds will without a doubt go down a lot on Standard. Samatta also needs 2+ goals to become the top striker in the league. If he starts I will take Samatta to score @ 2.28 *** on Sportsbet in BCT as he will surely take the penalty if they get one. I will confirm this on the SBC Discord the moment I end up taking it or not...
