Jupiler League Week 27 Saturday Previews

I am making previews on matches from the Belgian Jupiler League with team news, player form, injuries along with my personal betting angles and at times bigger bets I get myself while keeping a long-term record on them...

I took over 1 unit loss yesterday getting in too many small positions which all lost. I don't regret any of the bets though as Kortrijk did not deserve to lose the match. More matches to have a look at for today...

Standard vs Antwerp

Standard played a mature match last week letting Genk go forward and making use of the counter which resulted in a 1-3 win. Today they play at home where they will have to make the play much more against a mature team which should result in a difficult match for them. This season they are -6.31% ROI against the closing line at home with Antwerp not doing better on the rod with a -4.62% ROI on the closing line. Both teams have more goals in 2nd half 60% and 62% and I do expect a cautious tactical start on this match. Both teams are steady inside of the top 6 and I guess they would both sign for a point right now if they could. I took a medium-sized position on 1st Half Under 1 @ 2.06 and a small bet on Draw @ 3.553

Oostende vs Zulte-Waregem

Zulte-Waregem as of late has been a tricky team. They surely have the quality and potential but it's always a big question mark which team will show up. Especially on the road. Their main problem is that they don't take points when they aren't able to play with their core central players (Bossut, Peltinckx, Deschacht& Seck). 25 on 34 with those and 9 on 34 if one or more is injured. Today all 4 will be out! Oostende is in a bad steak only taking a 1-0 win at home against stvv while losing 6 of the last 7 matches. With the recent wins of Cercle Brugge, they now are only 4 points ahead of the last place with 4 more matches to play. Zulte-Waregem is 7 points away from a playoff 1 spot with a difficult schedule still to come. For as far as predicting on how this match goes, I guess both will go for the win and the main question will be if quality in front of goal will be good enough to make it a high scoring game. I will keep my eye out for the over in this match and see if there is one dominant team before getting in. No pre-game bets

Moeskroen vs Cercle Brugge

Cercle Brugge is quite hot, quality-wise they are not the worst team in the league and they are back withing reach after 2 wins in a row. I backed the Cercle team total over 1 on their last match very eary on in their last macth which ended up as a push and did exactly the same last week right after they took the win last week getting in on Cercle Brugge +0 @ 2.48 & Cercle Brugge Team Total Over 1 @ 1.75. Odds dropped as expected to 1.884 & 1.50 and I'm thinking of just closing it at this point. It is by no means a guarantee Cercle will end up as the winner against Moeskroen who have shown to be a tricky team all season long and are now in a 2 game win streak themselves. A draw would also be a good result for Cercle Brugge. I also got in what I could on Cercle Brugge Corners +0.5 @ 1.854 as they have not lost their corners matchup in the last 7 matches.

Mechelen vs Waasland

Mechelen is in a must-win situation tonight as they are still in the fight for playoff 1 with 4 points behind on Genk who won yesterday. Waasland is in a 4 game losing streak with Cercle coming closer only being 3 points behind so they will certainly have nerves. I'm expecting a furious start from Mechelen moving forward to score the early 1-0. I got a small bet in on KV Mechelen 1st Half -0.25 @ 1.86 and took what I could on KV Mechelen Coners -2 @ 1.787 Waasland lost their last 5 away corners with 6-2 | 6-1 | 10-0 | 12-9 | 16-2 with an average over the entire seasons of 7.7-3.8.
