I am making previews on matches from the Belgian Jupiler League with team news, player form, injuries along with my personal betting angles and at times bigger bets I get myself while keeping a long-term record on them...

I'm still having quite a hard time finding any good value on the betting market right now and most of the action tends to be trades I get out of before the match ends. I'm not expecting much else today in the 3 matches that will be played.

Racing Genk vs Club Brugge

Racing Genk is currently in 7th place after KV Mechelen won their match on Friday. They needed a goal last week to pick up their confidence and ended up with a narrow 0-1 win agianst Kortrijk. Club Brugge got outplayed in the Champions League and have failed to cover their handicaps in the Belgian League while being reliable not to lose matches regardless if it's home or away. In their last home match against a better team they played forward but overall quality was not high enough and they got punished by a more mature Standard on the counter. if their coach learned a lesson from this he will have a more defensive approach starting the match today. Both Vormer and Dennis are injured for Club Brugge while Genk also has some players out with Maehle, Heynen, Uronen, and Onuachu. I'm expecting Club Brugge Not to Lose. Coach Clement was not unhappy with the draw results on their away matches against Standard and Charleroi so I need to have that covered in case I'm going to place a bet. Club Brugge in their last 3 away games against G5 Teams went 6|6|9 Corners while Genk is not exactly a high corner team themselves. I got it a small pre-game bet on Under 9.5 Corners @ 1.95 and will see where it goes.

Charleroi vs Standard

Charleroi continues to be a strong team that is hard to beat as they are well organized in defense and have scoring options in the offense. Standard has played a bit more mature as of late and in similar type of matches recently they avoided all risks and I expect the same scenario today. This is one of those matches where both teams will be very afraid of getting slashed on the counter and I expect both to play with very little risk which should pose no threat to the defenses. I would not be surprised with a 0-0 HT Score. Standard is unbeaten in their last 8 1st halves away while Charleroi this season only lost 1st Half. I took positions on 1st Half Under 1 @ 1.830 and HT Draw @ 2.14. I won't hesitate to get out if possible in case the early match picture proves me wrong.

Cercle Brugge vs AA Gent

Cercle is on a hot run but continue to have a hard time to actually score goals and was by no means unlucky in their 3 game win streak which has put them in 15th place with equal points to Waasland. AA Gent continue to be a very strong team, they played a good match in the Europa League which they coule have won. Key player Odidja will be suspended for AA Gent which might make a difference for them. I've been riding the Cercle Brugge train the last couple weeks taking early bets on them and again got a small early bet in on Cercle Brugge +0.5 @ 1.877 after seeing Odidja would be suspended. Odds have dropped to 1.74 by now. I'm not all that confident and I'll likely end up hedging this one out. Cercle Brugge has had a very offensive approach to their matches and I expect them to go for it again. There is no corners handicap available on the Asian market right now but I would take Cercle with the handicap if it was. Kums is also questionable right now, the last match he was out it clearly showed. I'm expecting an interesting game and I will see how it goes...
