I'm making these weekly posts as a way to track my personal pre-game handicapping results along with my live betting action on Belgian Teams. These posts will usually contain some insights when it comes down to my general approach and what I do to increase my chance of beating the market.

There were plenty of matches from Belgian teams and I had a ton of bets/trades last week which produced excellent betting results. Any week that I'm up 4 units or more is quite massive as my average stake for each bet is only around 0.3 units while I never allow myself to exceed the maximum exposure on 1 specific result of 2 units (which is extremely rare).

Something I'm starting to do more this season is to lower my exposure in play. The match between AA Gent and St-Etienne was a good example. I had about 1.5 units at risk on 3 different bets combined (Gent -0.25 | Over 2.5 | Gent Team Total Over 1.5). When the score was 1-1 I lowered my risk taking a tiny bet on the Under 2.5 @ 5.00+. Bets like this are likely -EV by themselves but they do give me a lot of peace of mind by decreasing the swings which allow me to make better decisions overall making them +EV in a way.

Focus
Despite the great week, I did feel I pretty much lost most my focus Saturday evening and onwards. Betting can be quite exhausting as there are so many variables to take into account all the time and details matter way more than most people realize. In many matches, there was a clear picture where the match was going to go but if the odds fully reflect this there is not much that can be done. It's a constant battle between wanting to take bets while having to keep my discipline because I don't see the odds and line being +EV. Usually, the 'crazy bets' nobody is willing to take are the ones that bring the long term profit. I already improved a lot taking many of those but still need to grow some balls to take them bigger and with confidence.

I had limited pre-game and Live bets on the SBC Discord which I'm also taking on Copytip. They did however perform pretty good overall. I am always in a kind of self-observing state so I'm quite aware if I'm less sharp. At times like this, I simply don't take bigger bets all at once.

Discord Live-Bets Week 8

Racing Genk Team Total Under 1.5 @ 1.876 (42' 3-1) LOST
Standard +0 @ 1.72 (15' 0-0) FT 2-0 WON
Stvv +0.75 @ 1.87 (25' 0-0) FT 0-3 WON
( All My live Bets are Taken at Sportmarket Pro who offer the best odds on the market )

I am up over 10 units on the season with my current stakes which is pretty much the point where it all becomes worth the time and effort purely money earnings wise. Basically, if I would go work in Mcdonalds all the hours I spend watching games and betting during an entire season I would be worse off on the earnings side. The goal is off course set way higher as in Sports Betting, literally the sky is the limit. In order to reach that you really need some extreme dedication. Trying to reach higher grounds really keeps Sports Betting always interesting to me and blogging is and an excellent way to stay sharp and document the journey while possibly help others do the same.
