The winter break has arrived and we are now officially halfway into the entire Belgian Jupiler League 2019-2020 season. The first half of the season went pretty much as planned results-wise ending un really close to what I see as a realistic long term profit expectation. Even though I do tend to drift a bit into auto-pilot-mode at times, I still very much enjoy the entire process of following the league while trying to outsmart the betting markets making some nice profit along the way. I also still enjoy the blogging routine as writing the previews helps me not to slack and keeping these weekly results keeps me disciplined and with my both feet on the ground.

I also like to think these posts are an excellent learning school for the few that actually want to get better themselves as they show a realistic view of what it takes including downswings and losing weeks. I don't plan on stopping anytime soon and still hope more will join me using a similar approach on Steemit / Scorum even though I realize it's unlikely as few seem to have an obsession to actually beat this game of betting without caring for the gambling fun aspect.

Betting vs Trading

I have been in somewhat of a zone in between being a pure bettor and having a more trading approach limiting the risks. I have been exploring more of the trading side as of late and this week most bets were taken with an eye of trading out if needed which comes at the cost of having big outright bets. The goal for 2020 will be to find a much better balance in this while continuing to improving both my skills.

Copytip

The last few months on Copytip were a bit of a struggle as I had fewer big plays compared to the early season while at the same time having some regression to the mean after a hot start. The goal there is to be long term profitable and not force any action. So far I'm on pace for that having 76 Bets there making +7.357 Units in the process on 1 Unit Flat Stakes (symbolical 10€ bets) good for +9.83% ROI!

I do plan to pick up again in 2020 how I started the season with more bets there putting extra time into handicapping and finding profitable big betting spots. Anyone who wants can automatically follow my bets on Copytip always at the same odds I'm able to take myself.

Again no big live bets this week on the SBC Discord Server but I also intend to get those going again in 2020. As always I did cover all matches and shared most of my trading actions. I will make another Live Betting Results update somewhere the next 2 weeks...

I can't complain about the overall chart aside from the fact that my overall volume dropped a bit compared to last season despite having had much more bets. I'm still learning a lot about trading in and out of positions which makes me much more cautious and the ongoing crypto bear market also makes me cautious on my stakes as I have to take into account potential big downswings and I wouldn't want to have to sell any of my cryptos right now.

Let me know in the comments below hoy your first half of the season has gone results-wise or leave a link to your own results tracking post and I'll make sure to give it an upvote!
