The Champions League semi-finals are coming, there is only something missing: the qualified teams. This evening the first two games of the most prestigious club Cup on earth will be staged.
Today in Turin and Barcelona the first two challenges:
- Juventus vs Ajax
- Barcelona vs Manchester United
Both have different possible scenarios in front of them, thanks to the uncertain results of the first leg, where a draw took place at Johan Cruijff Arena that allows both teams to dream of continuing their journey in the Cup. A goal by Cristiano Ronaldo at the end of the first half deceived the black & whites having an easy life in the second half, but right at the beginning of this a defensive sleep allowed the Dutch to draw with a great goal from Neres. In the event of a draw with more than one goal, Juventus would be out, the old lady will have to try to win or protect the result at 0-0, easier said than done, given that the young lancers have shown more times during this season of being able to express a game of high class and very prolific.
At the Old Trafford the Catalans imposed themselves for a zero goal on the English thanks to an unfortunate own goal by Shaw, but this result does not assure Messi & c. the passage of the round, considering the fact that the away goals are worth double, a draw could be useful for the Spaniards, but the Red devils in this Cup have demonstrated that they can play with anyone thanks to the "remuntada" of the eighth finals against PSG. Quality, tenacity and attack weight are strengths for both teams, we'll see who will be better able to exploit them in the 90' or maybe more. Many champions in both teams should guarantee a show, United perhaps has some additional motivation given the hunger of its players, Barcelona could be "more satisfied", even if the qualities of this great team are not discussed at all.
Wednesday two more matches:
- Manchester City vs Tottenham
- Porto vs Liverpool
The first is probably the one with the most uncertain outcome of all, in the first leg the Spurs battled succeeding in winning and baptizing in the best way by not conceding a goal in their new Stadium, an architectural gem that maybe will soon host NFL games and aspires to grab the first Super Bowl outside the States, 850 million pounds spent on that. The defeat of the Citizens was also dictated by an error from Sergio Aguero from 11 meters before the goal scored by Son. Difficult to say who will pass the round, even if the City should take advantage of the home factor to succeed in imposing on opponents, but in the derby it is really difficult to make predictions despite Guardiola's team being favored, however any tie would mean the passage of Spurs.
Last match to be analyzed is the one that will see Liverpool involved in Portugal, the fate of the match already appears to have been written, the Reds could settle for any draw and even a "small" defeat, they are also clearly favorites on a team that does not seem to have many possibility of going to the semifinals, the field factor, however, could reserve some dangers for the team led by Jürgen Klopp, Porto has historically always been a tricky team for anyone, especially within its own walls and with support of its fans. Of Keita and Firmino the first-leg goals, both scored in the first half, during the rest of the game the Portuguese managed to limit the damage and take home a result that could give them some chances to pass this round.
Le semifinali di Champions League sono oramai alle porte, mancano solo loro: le squadre qualificate. Questa sera andranno in scena le prime due partite della coppa per Club più prestigiosa della terra.

Entrambe hanno davanti a loro diversi scenari possibili, complici i risultati incerti dell'andata dove alla Johan Cruijff Arena si è verificato un pareggio che permette a tutte due le squadre di poter sognare di proseguire il cammino nella Coppa. All'andata un gol di Cristiano Ronaldo allo scadere del primo tempo ha illuso i bianconeri di aver vita facile nel secondo, ma proprio all'inizio di questo una dormita difensiva ha permesso agli olandesi di pareggiare con un gran gol di Neres. La Juventus in caso di un pareggio con più di una rete sarebbe fuori, la vecchia signora dovrà cercare di vincere o di proteggere il risultato sullo 0-0, più facile a dirsi che a farsi, dato che i giovani giocatori dei lancieri hanno dimostrato più volte durante questa stagione di poter esprimere un gioco di alta classe e molto prolifico.
All'Old Trafford i catalani si sono imposti per una rete a zero sugli inglesi grazie ad uno sfortunato autogol di Shaw, questo risultato però non assicura a Messi&c. il passaggio del turno, considerando il fatto che i gol in trasferta valgono doppio, un pareggio potrebbe fare comodo agli spagnoli, ma i Red devils in questa Coppa hanno ampiamente dimostrato di poter giocarsela con chiunque grazie anche alla remuntada degli ottavi di finale contro il PSG.
Qualità, tenacia e peso d'attacco sono punti di forza per entrambe le squadre, vedremo chi sarà maggiormente abile a sfruttarle nei 90' o forse più. Tanti campioni in entrambe le formazioni dovrebbero garantire spettacolo, lo United forse ha qualche motivazione aggiuntiva vista la fame dei propri giocatori, il Barcellona potrebbe essere "più appagato", anche se le qualità della rosa non si discutono assolutamente.
Mercoledì altri due partite, Manchester City - Tottenham e Porto - Liverpool.

Difficile dire chi riuscirà a passare il turno, anche se il City dovrebbe sfruttare il fattore casa per riuscire ad imporsi sugli avversari, ma nei derby è davvero difficile poter fare pronostici nonostante la squadra di Guardiola sia favorita, un qualsiasi pareggio però significherebbe il passaggio del turno degli Spurs.
Ultimo match da analizzare è quello che vedrà impegnato il Liverpool in Portogallo, il destino della partita appare già scritto, i Reds potrebbero accontentarsi di un qualsiasi pareggio e addirittura di una sconfitta su misura, sono inoltre nettamente favoriti su una squadra che non sembra avere molte possibilità di andare in semifinale, il fattore campo però potrebbe riservare alcuni pericoli per la squadra guidata da Jürgen Klopp, il Porto storicamente è sempre stata una squadra ostica per chiunque, soprattutto tra le proprie mura e con il tifo amico al proprio supporto. Di Keita e Firmino i gol all'andata, entrambi siglati nel primo tempo, durante il resto della partita i portoghesi sono riusciti a limitare i danni e portare a casa un risultato che potrebbe regalar loro ancora alcune chances di poter passare il turno.
