Hello everybody, dear friends, and good week!
Yesterday was another football Sunday full of matches from all the major European championships.
And it was a day of bets for me, started with a couple of improvised stakes and ended with a spasmodic search for the perfect result.
Have to say that I was going to make big trouble, but follow me and I'll explain everything.
3:00 P.M. MATCHES
In the morning I was busy and didn't have the time to carefully analyze the SERIE A games of the day.
But, at around 2:30 pm, arrived at just under half an hour from the start of the matches, I had to satisfy the whim to place some bets, just to follow the matches with thrill and exciting pathos.
As you have understood, if you follow my posts, I tend not to be a lover of the final results (1, X, 2) but I am much more attracted to those regarding the goals (U/O, BTTS).
So, when I open a match screen on BetScorum, I always scroll down a bit to see if I find any liquidity in that section.
Normally, before betting, I try to analyze team statistics, assess the condition of the players and the ranking situation. In short, I make some reasoning, as is obvious.
This time, on the other hand, I bet quickly, very instinctively, but not for this I limited myself with the stake.
The games I chose were:
- SS LAZIO - GENOA FC BTTS @1.606
- US LECCE - AS ROMA OVER 2.5 @1.500
Realistically, two results that could safely stay there.
Instead, the outcome was a painful bloodbath.
Lazio won 4-0 by dominating the opponent, even though Genoa had several chances to score at least one goal, but they found itself in front of the goalkeeper Strakosha on a great day.
AS Roma took home the victory in Lecce with an unusual 0-1, far from the OVER 2.5 that I had predicted. Only regret, in this case, could have been the penalty wasted by Kolarov (great save by the goalkeeper Gabriel), but one of the two teams would have had to score at least one more goal.
And so, the balance after these two lost bets was really tragic: - 347.50 SCR
6:00 P.M. MATCHES
Well, that was the beginning of the end.
Generally, a bettor must maintain the coolness and lucidity and avoid letting himself be guided by emotions. But I didn't accept that I had lost so much and I immediately needed to take my redemption and recover the lost amount.
And so, more or less in the same way as before, I selected these two events from the list and placed two large bets:
- FC KRASNODAR - FC ARSENAL TULA 1 @1.500
- CAGLIARI CALCIO - HELLAS VERONA OVER 2.5 @2.136
The aim was to recover as soon as possible and in fact the stake that I put on the games was really very high: 200 SCR on the first game and 440 SCR on the second.
The result was not the best. Krasnodar won 2-0 and so far so good. Cagliari and Verona, on the other hand, closed the match on the 1-1 result, making me make a record passive.
The problem, this time, was this: OVER 2.5 in this match was a prediction absolutely against the statistics. I knew it and consciously took it. I've done it because I needed to make the coup and because the available liquidity (I took it all) could allow me to make a very high win.
And instead, I had only worsened the situation and now I was at a loss of almost
700 SCR!
8:45 P.M. MATCHES
Ok, at this point I had only two paths: either to realize that the day was not exactly the lucky one and retire; or go all-in and try desperately to straighten the situation.
The only game I had was AC Milan - ACF Fiorentina. Really two teams with very few certainties.
And so much courage was needed, a lot of recklessness and a big luck.
In the end, I chose to do it. Gone on to the BetScorum screen, I scrolled it down and placed my bet. Heavy.
Then I opened the page and I've done another one, always on the same game.
- AC MILAN - ACF FIORENTINA OVER 2.5 @2.052 / BTTS @1.760
Make it or brake it. The day, lucky or not, ends with the thrill.
And in the end...
It went well, very well.
The audacity was rewarded by the final result: a surprising 1-3 in favor of the Viola.
This match too was not exactly a walk, because Milan had remained in 10 and was at a disadvantage of 3 goals. Although OVER 2.5 was safe, I didn't want to lose my bet on BTTS. Fortunately, Rafael Leao brought out a great feat, and so he saved the honor of his team and limited the damages of my crazy betting Sunday.
Final budget: -70.51 SCR
And I'm incredibly happy about it, because, as things turned out, this result is a half miracle.
After all, I must say, that it was worth it.
Although I will try to learn from this experience not to make stupid mistakes of superficiality anymore, this swirl of emotions, repaid me for everything.
But maybe I only say this because I saved my ass at the last second. Who knows what I would be thinking now if the match was over 0-0?
But the best thing is just that: no one can know. Simply, because it didn't happen.
