Welcome to another week on betscorum with a lot of new and exciting fixtures. As usual, I shall be providing some analysis according to the available stats of the participating teams, my humble knowledge and would share my predictions for the Bundesliga and France Ligue 1. I would also like to mention that I cross-check some of the odds on other exchanges and I can confidently say that despite some downsides, the best odds among numerous bookies out there are available on betscorum.com so, let's get our hands on some of the valuable action.

  • Germany Bundesliga

  1. Frankfurt vs. Hoffenheim

An interesting fixture between the two teams possessing an almost equal form because of which they are positioned next to each other in the first half of the table. Their recent head-to-head game stats also support this claim as most of the clashes ended in low scoring draws despite that both teams have a good scoring potential of an average 2 goals/game. Even though their recent fixtures were with stronger teams but they managed to mark a couple of victories and draws. We cannot totally rely on the host's better home form as the visitors have also been performing well on the road even against teams like Leipzig and Dortmund. Therefore, there is a high probability of a draw once again with slight chances of a home win as their defense is slightly better than that of their opponents.

2. Schalke vs. Dusseldorf

The hosts are hot favorites in this fixture not because they were playing extremely better in the last season but they have almost always beaten Fortuna in their head-to-head fixtures. Both teams recent fixtures indicate that the visitors have been a bit more successful than the hosts with about 20% more wins and they have an adequate away form as well, which is almost similar to that of the Schalke's home form. The visitors attacking potential is also slightly better than that of the home team's but they also have let their opponents find the net a few more times. Therefore, the analysis of their gameplay does not provide a clear picture of the possible outcome, however, I believe that the visitors might give a tough time to the hosts and we may witness another draw or if fortunate may break the spell and claim a victory.

  • Away/Draw @2.0 is a good take
  • 55% chances of over 2.5 goals
  • Handicap +1 Fortuna @2.0

3. Nurnberg vs. RB Leipzig

An underdog-topper clash, where the hosts are a team with a terrible form, waiting for relegation, sitting at the bottom of the table and yet they fight hard sometimes especially at their home ground, consequently forcing the likes of Dortmund, Bremen, and Leverkusen to a draw. This time their opponent is Leipzig and in my point of view they are not in the best of their form as they could hardly found the opponents net in their recent games, however, they blasted the Nurnberg's defense in their last head-to-head reverse fixture with whopping 6 goals to nil. In addition, considering the fact that the remaining games of this season are of immense importance, I believe we might witness another massacre by the visitors. The odds for away win are fairly low, however, in the light of their recent low-scoring history, the odds for handicap -1 are considerably high.

  • Handicap -1 Leipzig @2.1 (elsewhere 2.3 available)
  • Over 2.5 goals @1.74

4. Hertha BSC vs. Mainz

The teams in this fixture are sitting right next to each other in standings and even though their stats from recent fixtures are almost similar, I believe that they do not present the whole picture. The home team were facing some tough opponents such as Bayern, Bremen, and Monchengladbach, but they stood strong and consequently managed to pull some draws and the overall performance was not that terrible. However, the visitors were on a comparatively smoother ride because of which they managed to keep their heads high. It was quite unfortunate for the home team that they could not claim a victory in their recent head-to-head ties despite that their goal scoring and conceding potential is much better than that of their opponent. However, they would probably appear in this clash with high confidence, energetic spirits owing to their recent performance and may finally claim a close victory here.

5. Leverkusen vs. Freiburg

The host team is clearly the favorite among the two and their form is pretty adequate as well but they are a strange side to bet on with such low odds of 1.4. The main reason for me saying this is because they had goalless draws in their last 2 head-to-head fixtures with Freiburg, however, they were the visitors in those games. Their home form is quite a charm as they were victorious for over 60% of the time and that is something to rely on. In addition, there is no doubt that they are a strong team with high goal scoring potential of 2 which is almost twice as compared to their opponents. But, the point to worry is that their goal conceding rate is also high which indicates that their defenses can be breached easily thus making their opponent a similar threat. The visitors seem to have a problem with their away form as they could only claim a single victory and that too against a complete underdog, however, they were able to pull some draws. Therefore, instead of taking chances on a home team with such low odds, it seems more feasible to place a small stake on the draw.

  • France Ligue 1

  1. SM Caen vs. PSG

There is no denying the fact that the visitors do not need an introduction here as they are blasting their way towards the cup with a colossal pace thus leaving other teams way down the league in terms of points, goal scoring rate and what not. And, the hosts are basically in the relegation zone and trying their best to recover but could only manage a couple of draws. Therefore, the visitors are surely going to be the hottest favorites here and the handicap option is going to be the best choice but the question would be about the goals that are to be awarded to the home team. Basically, the home team has improved their defenses and it is getting harder for their opponents to get away with a huge number but we are talking about PSG here. Their head-to-head fixtures are even though clearly dominated by the visitors, however, there has been a goalless draw as well so probably -1.5 can be the comfortable and valuable option at the odds of 2.

  • Handicap -1.5 PSG @2.1

2. Stade de Reims vs. Amiens SC

The hosts were a strong team and they had a dip in the middle of the season from which they recovered pretty soon. They are currently enjoying the 6th place and have gained a considerable form recently which they demonstrated by beating Montpellier and Marseille. Their positive momentum has let them secure more than 70% wins in their recent fixtures and they have a similar win rate at home ground as well. The point of interest here is that their opponent is currently in a weak form where they have lost over 60% of their recent matches with a similar away record, however, they occasionally surprise us with a couple of victories. Their recent head-to-head fixtures were dominated by the visitors and they beat the hosts with 4-1 in their last clash, which makes the things a bit sour but I believe the host team is in much better shape than 6 months ago and they would cause great damage to the visitors this time with their better scoring and conceding ratio.

3. Angers SCO vs. AS Monaco

The visitors have shocked us with their surprise recovery as they came alive from the ruins of the relegation zone and are claiming victories with a substantially improved form. Has it something to do with their returned manager Jardim as I mentioned in my previous article but I still did not expect them to perform this much better so I undermined their potential. They prove me and probably many of us wrong with their over 75% of win/draw percentage in their recent fixtures. The hosts are not a bad team at all and in fact a few games back the stats comparison would have indicated a clean victory in their favor but it seems to be a little harder now. The recent head-to-head fixtures were equally won by both sides, however, the hosts still have a slightly better home form than their guests but that might not be enough to announce their victory here. Therefore, a better option would be to go for a draw.
