Welcome everyone with another exciting betscorum weekend rollercoaster ride with a ton of available fixtures. As usual, I am going to place my bets on almost all of them and even if after so many predictions provided by our valuable Scorum users, anyone is not going to get his hands dipped, we better send him off to Antarctica with a bucket of ice :) Well, joke apart and without delay let's get to my predictions and picks for the upcoming fixtures from Spanish La Liga, Belgian Jupiler and French Liga 1.

Spain La Liga

Club Atletico vs. Real Madrid

The clash of the Titans from La Liga is about to take place where the hosts are just 1 rank above the visitors with merely 2 points and a win for the visitors here would cause a switch in their positions. If you can recall I have mentioned the ferocity of both teams before where they pounced upon each other to claim the victory. Something very similar is expected this time as an early lead of one should not be taken as a huge advantage over the other. Their previous head-to-head games mostly ended up in a draw (70%) with an equally small percentage (15%) of wins secured by both clubs. Their recent fixtures also demonstrate an almost equally balanced side, however, the hosts might have a slight home ground advantage which is also visible from their above 80% wins but the visitors are also not in a terrible away form as their goal scoring potential is slightly better than that of the hosts. My prediction model is tipping me a close home win but considering all the factors I would prefer a Draw as the most probable outcome.

  • Draw @3.2 or Home/Draw @1.43
  • 50% probability of over 2.5 goals
  • It is likely to be a 1-1 draw so over 1.5 is a better option @1.37
  • Bet value: Medium-High

Espanyol vs. Rayo Vallecano

The hosts visited Ceramica Stadium for a match with Villarreal last time for which I predicted correctly that despite their terrible form they might be able to pull a draw and they did but they were 2 goals down up until the 70th minutes and thanks to their defender Rosales who helped the team level the score late in the game. The hosts are constantly attempting to recover their previous form and are currently hanging in the draw zone whereas the visitors enjoyed a few wins in their recent fixtures. Comparing both teams forms it is hard to announce a victory but home team players have a slightly better scoring potential and with the confidence, they have gained recently may guide them through another tough win. But, the odds available for home win @1.8 still do not justify their mediocre form therefore, I would take my chances with a draw.

  • Draw @3.8, Expected score 1-1, 2-1
  • Both teams to score @1.75

Girona FC vs. Huesca

The home team have been in a terrible form and are desperate to recover from the situation while the visitors despite being from the bottom of the table surprisingly bashed 6 ranks above team ‘Valladolid’ with whopping 4 goals to nil. In my point of view, it is still not enough to announce their victory over the hosts as in their head-to-head ties the hosts have beaten Huesca over 80% of the time. In addition, the home team’s scoring potential is almost double than that of the visitors but they have been just unlucky to claim some victories recently but I would attribute their defeat to their tough fixtures.

  • Home win @2.09
  • Bet value: Medium

Leganes vs. Real Betis

This fixture is another tough call as both teams have been somewhat unpredictable. The hosts managed to beat the likes of Madrid but could only manage to claim a single goal win against the underdog Huesca. On the other end, the visitors are also full of surprises as they managed to beat Atletico but could only manage draws with Valencia and Espanyol. Despite that the home team are at 13th position while the visitors are at 6th, Leganes have better home form and are most likely to give a tough time to the visitors.

  • Home win @2.37
  • Under 2.5 goals

Belgium Jupiler Pro League

RSC Charleroi vs. KV Oostende

The hosts from the 8th rank are up against the team with a terrible form and lying at about 14th. The interesting thing about this fixture is that their previous head-to-head games have been dominated by the visitors but that was a year ago and the hosts have surely turned out to be a better team. The visitors failed to grab a single victory from their recent fixtures while the hosts are with over 60% win/draw stats. Moreover, their home form is much better and their average goal scoring percentage is twice better than the visitors. The fixture might go over 2.5 goals if only the visitors manage to score so that leaves us with a predictable score of 2-0.

  • Home win @1.69
  • Under 2.5 with 58% possibility @2.0
  • Bet value: medium

KAS Eupen vs. KV Kortrijk

Both teams are relatively a mirror of each other as they have almost similar recent forms because of which they are just with 1 rank difference at the bottom of the table’s first half. Their head-to-head fixtures indicate that Eupen has been the dominating force, however, their goal scoring and the conceding ratio is not better than that of the visitors. It is most probably going to be a tough fixture for both teams and in my point of view, both might manage to score a goal or none at all. Therefore, a draw would be a more favorable take with a slight possibility of a home win.

  • Draw @3.25
  • 58% chances of Under 2.5 goals @1.9

Sint-Truiden vs. Waasl-Beveren

A 5th place home team against the one at the 15th where the visitors slightly recovered and presented a good form previously only to lose matches later on. The hosts are not with their full confidence as well but they have shown improvements. Their head-to-head fixtures and their recent matches against other opponents have been almost equally won by both teams which is a bit alarming for the hosts. However, the home form and goal scoring percentages favor the Truidens and they might enjoy another great victory this time as well.

  • Home win @1.64

Lokeren OV vs. Antwerp FC

The high-born prince (3rd place having equal points with Club Brugge) is visiting an underdog (16th) with a massive threat and that was probably the best way to put it. But, let me surprise you that the host team have always provided a fitting challenge to the royals and have dominated the head-to-head fixtures with over 60% win/draws. That is probably the reason that the odds for the Royals are not very low (1.72) which is probably a good sign because I am positive that they are going to win this fixture with their massive goalscoring form of above 1.5 as compared to the hosts 0.7. Therefore, it would be a pleasure to place a bet on the away win.

  • Away Win @1.72
  • Over 2.5 if the hosts manage to score i.e. 1-2 score could be predicted
  • Bet value: Medium-high

France Ligue 1

PSG vs. Bordeaux

Well, honestly speaking I did not happen to like one-sided fixtures even in betting terms as they are harder to fetch some profit from. One has to place high stakes on the home side here in order to churn out a small profit and at the same time if the strong team happens to draw/lose (there are still 37% chances) one might lose much. Similarly, other betting options such as over 2.5 etc are also at low odds but considering the home team would be the one to score here probably it could be 2 goals or 3. Anyhow, in between words I hope I gave you a glimpse of this fixture that there is no question about the threat of the home team here and probably only the teams like Lyon are the ones to bring them back to senses.

  • Under 3.5 @1.66
  • PSG Handicap -1.0 @1.56
  • Bet value: Medium

RC Strasbourg vs. Angers SCO

This fixture is a lit bit spicy even though the hosts are on a winning run and have been performing great because of which they are occupying a place in the first half of the table while the visitors are from the second. The spice here is only because the hosts could only draw all of their recent head-to-head games with Angers and have lost mostly previously. However, this should not trouble us much as they are in a brilliant form with an exceptional home win rate. Also, the goal scoring potential of the home team is much higher than that of the visitors and let’s hope they would break off the spell and claim a victory here.

  • Home win @2.0
  • Bet value: Medium

Amiens SC vs. SM Caen

This is a complete underdog fight and both teams would be feeling relieved to be finally facing an equally matched opponent, however, this only increases the trouble for them as both sides would try their best to grab the victory points and might have to settle with a draw. In terms of goal scoring potential, the hosts are facing a massive draught while the visitors have found the net quite often. Being the away fixture might balance out that advantage as well for Caen and we might witness a goalless draw here with a slight possibility of a goal by the visitors.

  • Away/Draw is a valuable option @1.79
  • Under 2.0 @1.9
  • Bet value: High

My Recent Betting Summary:

It has been a pleasure writing these predictions as they have made me more disciplined at least for the leagues I mention here because this way I do not delay taking the odds and I finally manage to place bets without deviating from my prediction model. As you can see that over 60% (5/8) of the picks that I mentioned in my previous article were correct. This means that there should have been a great profit but apparently not as some of the other matches especially from the Premier league took me to the negative side so overall last week's betting account is in a loss. Anyways, this happens occasionally and I am expecting to recover soon.

Have a great weekend and do let me know about your best picks from last week.
