FC Goa will be on the Road to the capital city of India to be hosted by the Delhi Dynamos FC. They will be motivated by their recent victory against Mumbai City FC and will be looking to win this away game with much more ease than their last outing. Delhi Dynamos will give it their everything, riding in their recent two wins, and hope to finish the season in the top half of the table and try to improve on their poor performance this season.

Delhi Dynamos FC

Delhi Dynamos FC has won the last two games that they have played in the ISL this season, albeit against the bottom rankers in the league table like they themselves are. Ranking 8th in the ten team league table with 10 points from 13 games and having no hopes of qualifying for the playoffs, but they could play spoilsport for higher ranked teams. Joseph Gombau’s 4-2-3-1 combination with a lone striker has got them 15 goals while the porous defence has let in 21. To improve on their goal scoring they have recruited the Mexican forward Ulises Davilla during the winter break.

FC Goa

FC Goa will be looking to improve on their standing in the league table when they go visiting Delhi. If they win here, they could oust Mumbai City FC from the second place due to their superior goal difference. Sergio Lobera and his boys believe in the simple theory; score more goals than your opponent. But that philosophy has landed them in trouble because of their weak defence. Placed 3rd in the league table with 24 points they have collected 24 points in their 13 games. Coming on the back of an upset away win against the Mumbai City, the Gaurs will be difficult to handle for the Delhi Dynamos.

Head to head

As is evident from the screenshot above, the Delhi Dynamos have won only three games in the eleven games that they have played against the team from the west coast. they have lost the first match to Goa FC in a high scoring game earlier last year this season.

Current form

While the Delhi Dynamos will be riding on their two wins in the last two matches, the Gaurs will be going into the match from a tough draw against Jamshedpur FC and an upset win against Mumbai City FC. The Goan club has two wins, two draws and a defeat in their last five matches. The Delhi team has two wins, and three defeats in the last five games that they have played.

Players to watch

The Gaurs will have to watch out for Lallianzuala Chhangte and Ulises Davilla. The former along with Subham Sarangi and Nandakumar Sekar are fast along the flanks and their accurate crosses could create problems for the Goan defenders. Lallianzuala has himself scored four goals in the IPL this season.

No team in the ISL needs to be told that they have to watch out for Ferran Corominas. The Spaniard, with 11 goals is the leading goal scorer in the league this season although he has played two games less than most of the other strikers. Edu Bedia and Hugo Boumos along with the newly signed Zaid Krouch will be the ones that the Delhi Dynamo’s backs will have to watch out for.

Prediction

I think that Goa FC has the speed in their ranks to baffle the Delhi defenders. The combination of Corrominas, Hugo Boumos, Edu Bedia and Zaid Krouch should deliver the goods for the visitors. I will, therefore, bet on Goa FC to win @1.70 or whatever the odds are available on betscorum tomorrow.
