Jamshedpur FC will play their last game of the season with Bengaluru FC at the JRD Tata Sports Complex Stadium on Wednesday. Out of contention for the playoffs, they would, however, like to sign off with a win in front of their fans.

Jamshedpur FC

Cesar Ferrando’s team would like to get the better of the table toppers in tomorrow’s match and finish where they did last year, placed at the fifth place in the league table. Jamshedpur FC will rely on Michael Soosairaj and Sergio Cidioncha to do most of the attacking against the southerners. Mario Aques and Carlos Calvo could not deliver in their last match against Chennaiyin which set Jamshedpur FC back from a possible chance to qualify for the semi-finals. The two Spanish midfielders have played a crucial role in Jamshedpur’s tournament this season. Tim Cahill is out of the match due to injury.

Bengaluru FC

Bengaluru FC is sitting pretty at the top of the table with 34 points from 17 matches that they have played this season. Carles Cuadrat would like to finish at the top of the table like they did the last season for which even a draw will suffice. With Miku and Udanta Singh both scoring in their last match against FC Goa, they have the rested Sunil Chhetri who may take the field tomorrow against Jamshedpur FC. While Miku has scored 4 goals for Bengaluru FC, Chhetri has eight goals to his name. They are sure to keep the Jamshedpur defence busy. Nishu Kumar will not play in the match because of the red card that he earned against FC Goa.

Head to head

Jamshedpur Fc has played Bengaluru FC three times in the ISL. Both the teams have won one match each while one match ended in a draw. Their latest encounter at Bengaluru ended in a 2-2 draw.

Current form of the two teams

Jamshedpur FC has an equal number of wins, draws and losses in their last six matches. Bengaluru Fc, on the other hand, has two wins, three losses and a draw in their six matches. But given the way that they played in their last match against FC Goa, they are very much in the groove.

Prediction

Jamshedpur FC will want to win this match dearly in front of their home supporters. But Bengaluru FC will very much go all out to seal the top spot in the league and Carles Cuadrat will pull out all the stops to see that they do it. I will put my money on Bengaluru FC winning the match two goals to one.

Score: Jamshedpur FC 1-2 Bengaluru FC
