I typed out a long post and was just wrapping it up when i accidentally closed the tab. Argh! FA Cup 3rd round to look forward to tonight and there's always a chance we'll see an upset, which is i guess what makes the FA Cup exciting.

Spurs are coming into the match having scored a very impressive 18 goals in their last 5 matches. When they're on fire it's hard for a premier league team to stop them, let alone a team that sits 3 divisions below them.

Tranmere on the other hand aren't exactly scoring a lot of goals but if it's any consolation, they don't concede too many either. They haven't lost in their last 5 games, always managing to eke out a low scoring draw at the very least.

Ultimately, today's result depends on which team Pochettino sends out. His press conference yesterday doesn't inspire much confidence when he basically said that he doesn't care about the FA Cup - the league and champion's league are what counts. On that note, though, Pochettino has never lost to lower league opposition in 17 encounters - 14 wins and 3 draws.

The line starts at Tottenham-2 but i'm going to play it a little safer and go for -1.5. I think a Tottenham B team would still be a significant goal threat but likely to let in the odd stupid goal.

Pick: Tottenham - 1.5 @ 1.558
