With September coming to an end, it's time to review the bets of the month and see where there's room for improvement for October.

The Overall record for September is:

Bets - 19

Won - 10

Lost - 9

Staked - 19 units

Profit - 2.221 units

The Individual Bets

Snooker predictability

I've liked the predictability of snooker when making parlays. Upsets do happen when the players have nothing to play for but other than that, the results tend to respect the rankings, H2H and form. There are a couple of tournaments in October so i hope to incorporate more snooker parlays. No more tennis bets

No more tennis bets

As much as i love playing and watching tennis, there's way too much variability in the results, especially at the lower levels. Only 1/4 of my tennis parlays made it so I need to be disciplined and cut them out. Ultimately, it's the losses that kill you.

Basketball and American Football

The NFL is starting to get into the swing of things and the NBA will commence in the middle of October. I'm looking to replace the tennis bets with NFL and NBA bets. Hopefully this improves the record as i've found them to stick to the script more often than with tennis.Two-legged parlays with odds greater than 2

Two-legged parlays with odds greater than 2

My earlier parlays had odds of around 1.7 or 1.8 which meant that any loss had to be covered by two wins to break even. Over the course of the month betting on low-odd games as part of the parlays, there are a ton of teams that are given odds of 1.3 and below to win who lose terribly. Just this week we had Bayern and Man Utd losing so you might as well bet on a game with 1.4 odds and above.

In Summary

The plan for October is to continue with the parlays, sticking to total odds of more than 2.0. No more tennis bets and to replace them with American Football and Basketball bets in the coming month. Hopefully October will be another good month. Thanks for reading!
