After this week UCL and EL group stage start, we're back for the weekend to Premier League. English teams had solid performance in UCL with 2 wins out of 4. The biggest surprise was in Manchester, where City suffered a loss from Lyon, but their form will rise with the more games in their legs. This week, City will encounter with Cardiff, after last week 3:0 victory against Fulham. Leading teams, Chelsea and Liverpool, will have pretty much easy task this week, Chelsea have away game against West Ham, while Liverpool will host Southampton. So the pressure is on Man City, because they need to win if want to keep up with top teams.

Premier League standings after 5 round:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

West Ham vs Chelsea

This is the match between lower table and top team in Premier League. There is no doubt that Blues are huge favorites here, even for winning the EPL title this year. West Ham will host Chelsea, the team which have winning streak of five games in a row and play very offensive football from the start of this season. They scored 14 goals, or by average 2.8 per match, so I expect here from them to score at least 2 or 3. After 4 losses in a row, the Hammers finally managed to win last game against Everton in away game with 3-1. Hazard is the leading goal scorer by so far with 5 goals, and he have opportunity to increase this stats in this game. Chelsea will win, they are better team for sure, and this is the games that you can't afford to lose in the race for a title.

Liverpool vs Southampton

Liverpool have 100% record since season started. They scored eleven times and conceded only twice. Their recent form is absolutely stunning and they share first place on the standings with Chelsea, which is also in great form. On the other side, Southampton, had 2 losses, 2 draw and only one win, and they take 13th place with 5 points, and to be honest, that is their range. Somewhere on the middle on the table. They played tie match with Brighton last week and now they go to Anfield. Surely, Liverpool are big favorites here, and I just don't see S'ampton like underdogs or the team who can stand up against Salah and friends. L'pool will clinch 3 point here, after beating PSG in Champions League few days ago, which give them more confidence.

Arsenal vs Everton

Since the arrival of Emery, Arsenal are not playing so great. Yes they play little more offensive, but that costs them in first two rounds of EPL when they suffered two losses. After that, they have little winning streak of 3 games in a row against team from lower table. The defense is not biggest strength of the team, by conceding 9 goals so far, same as Everton. They lose game last week at home against West Ham, and I think they will lose this one also. I don't expect lot of goals here, instead of that, expect very tough game. Even statistic is on Arsenal side, Everton will be a hard nut to crack. Narrow win for Arsenal, or even we can see Everton as underdog here getting away with some points. Over 2.5 goals would be decent bet here.
