Betting, also known as gambling is basically a risk-ridden way to have fun or enjoy leisure or even to try and make money. If betting is done wisely or tactically, it can be very fun and exciting addition to just being interested in watching sport.

When selecting what to teams to bet on you need to really be careful and do your research well.

But the question that remains standing and needs to be answered is how to make good money out of your bets? So what are the tricks to enable you to get around.

It’s all about finding the best value for money. Whether that’s the right prices, the right markets or even the best time to put your bet on, follow these tips from an ex-betting shop employee and see if you can make the most from your gambling experience.

  1. You should really know your sport

When deciding to bet on a sport, you should really know the sport. Try following it for a couple days if possible. Get to know the top teams and how they go about winning.

2. The favorite doesn't always win (do not always bet on your favorite)

Betting, I say can mostly be pure luck, but if you do your research well you can increase your chances of winning. Always remember to do a head-to-head of the playing teams and don't just follow the favorite team. Remember the favorite does not always win

3. The fewer selections, the better

I will always advise you do one ticket bet at a time. I have seen most of the time people do multi-bet. Even though this increases your winning, it also decreases the probability of you winning. I simply keep it at 3 if I want to do a multi-bet

4. Try live match bettings

I have found many successes with live match betting. By watching the match live and betting along, you can increase your chances of winning. This allows you to get to see how the teams are performing on that day and also you get to chance on some higher odds.

5. Sometimes follow your feelings

Most of the time you should follow what your research tells you, but sometimes you just have to follow your gut feelings, importantly when you are live betting.

Good luck and if you have any experience please share it.
