Back, somewhat, to my winning ways. Talk about a nail biter, I took the Rangers at home and felt very confident wagering $10 on them to win straight up. To reward my confidence they come out and gave up 5 runs in the top of the first inning. They scored 2 runs a few innings later only to give them right back trailing 7-2 about halfway through the game. I had that one chalked up as a Loss. Lo and behold, the Rangers had some fight in them, they came charging back, got the game tied up in the 8th inning and had a few chances to take the lead in the 8th and 9th inning as they left 2 runners stranded on base in both innings. As the game went into extra innings I kept following along on my phone, in the bottom of the 11th the game ended on an infield single that scored the runner from 3rd. I don't know if it was an error, a slow fielding, or throw, but the run came home and it cashed my bet. My other smaller bet that they win by more than 1 run lost, but I'll take the split after both looked like sure losers for most of the game.

Looking at todays games I really really really like the Yankees but something is telling me to stay away from them in this one. They have a pitcher going for 8 wins in a row, the game is nationally televised on ESPN and they have shined all season in these big spots. They are however facing the team they ousted from the playoffs last year for the first time this season and the Athletics have one of the best home records in baseball and they might be itching for a little revenge. I think both teams score early and often as both of these teams are at the top of the league in scoring runs through the first 5 innings. I'm betting the total shoots way over the 9 1/2. I'm also taking the Twins at home to rebound after yesterdays loss to the bad WhiteSox and win by more than 1 run and I threw a flyer on the Dodgers to crush the Blue Jays by more than 2 runs. So those are my plays today and a little inside info, I will be taking the opposite play tomorrow on whoever wins tonights game between the Yankees and Athletics.

Total bets that count toward rollover $14: 3,162.43 - 14 = 3,148.43. Link to the original article explaining the series here.
