If you haven't been following my blog, I've found that one of my online sportsbooks advertises plays on their website from time to time. After tracking them and watching them go 0-8 I've decided to make posts encouraging a bet going the other way. Yesterday I had Syracuse and Duke. Syracuse won by 20 points as a 2 point favorite while Duke lost outright as an -8.5 point favorite. In my defense, I did say to be careful with the Duke game because that was a rivalry game and it didn't help when their best player and possible top pick in this years NBA draft, went out with a knee injury after playing for only 30 seconds. Unfortunately excuses don't matter and it still counts as a loss.

Today they are advertising the Under the Celtics vs Bucks game and saying how bad the Rockets have been on the road ATS. Both of these games are on TNT and as I wrote up a few weeks ago these games tend to hit the over. In the two previous meetings the total hit 227 and 230 and todays total is set at 227.5. I would advise taking the over 227.5 in this game.

The next game has a few competing angles. In the 3 previous match ups this year the Rockets have won. Typically I would take the Lakers at home in this spot but this book is telling you to take the Lakers at home which gives me some pause. This is the first game after the all star break so both teams should be well rested and ready to go. Obviously the Rockets are the better team, but the question is will they win and cover in this game? I honestly have no feel for this game and if I had a play it would be to take the Lakers with the 3 points at home but that seems to be what the book wants you to take. So maybe the play is just to take the Rockets to sweep the season series as a small 3 point road favorite. I probably won't bet on this game because I feel there is probably an equal chance of either one happening. But there is the information if you want it!

So the 2 plays today that contradict what the book is telling you to bet are the over 227.5 in the Bucks vs Celtics game and the Rockets -3 on the road against the Lakers(although personally I'm passing on the Rockets Vs Lakers game). Good luck if you're betting on either of these!
