Aston villa started the season poorly but recovered well and are a point from the relegation zone with a game in hand. They have lost their last 2 matches which have been against strong oppositions. Liverpool had to dig deep to win at villa park while Wolves defeated them at Molineux stadium. They are solid at home and are getting the goals. 8 goals scored at home in their last 5 games shows that they can get the goals at Villa park.
A source of concern is their poor defense. They lose concentration a lot and that had been their main problem this season. They should have defeated Arsenal and at least draw Liverpool but their poor defense including poor concentration made them lose both matches. I expect the same today as they face experienced Newcastle.
Newcastle in great form having collected 10 points out of a possible 15. Their only loss came against Chelsea in a match they should have won if not for poor finishing from the likes of Almiron. They face new comers Aston Villa and should continue their good scoring form that has seen them score 7 goals in their last 5 games.
The match is an evenly matched one and I don't think they will defend. They will want to dominate which should see goals in the match.
