A successful prediction doesn’t come from the air, you need some tools to make that prediction and hopefully you win with it.

Most times before I make a prediction, I check the available matches for that day. I use livescores.com that displays the available matches. You can see the list of all matches especially the major leagues and not third division of Sweden or fourth division of Nigerian premier league. This will let me know where I will focus my analysis on.

One of my rules is you don’t leave top leagues for lesser known ones. You won’t see me picking a tip from Russia third division when there is the Premier League, Championship, or Eredivisie. You want to minimize risk. You want known leagues where the players are fighting for something. They are fighting for exposure and will put on a professional display. Then the issue of fixed matches too. It will be hard to fix a premier league match when compared to a Nigeria premier league match.

Once I get all the matches available, I note down the list of leagues I will be analyzing their matches.

I then head to soccervista.com. Soccervista provides me with extensive information on the league and the teams. I can see the full league information plus goals and points. The site also provide information on home records for all teams and their away records. You can see their last 5 matches statistics plus their goal average at home and away. When comparing two teams, you can see their previous matches. You also see a summary of the league. You will see the average goals, the home strength, and the draw rate of the league. These stats when put together will give you an idea what to expect in the match.

The good thing here is Soccervista is free unlike many other sites where you have to pay for some of this information.

There are some cases where I am not sure of a player status maybe injured or doubtful for the match. This is when I use Whoscored.com. Whoscored mainly preview top matches available. Checking their preview of these matches will give you more information that soccervista won’t. You can see some of the players ratings, goal scorers, and assists maker. This is one great information. You don’t want to bet on an over goals market when the assist or goalscorer is not around. This is a mistake many make and then regret later. They would have placed their bet before seeing that Harry Kane won’t play because he is injured.

This is not the case with whoscored. You will be able to see the injured, doubtful players. You will even see the head to head records in a pie chart mode. At the end of the analysis, you will see a short information on what to expect in the match and their own prediction too.

The new season is starting soon for the top leagues and you can start using the above websites to improve your tipster skills. You just need to let go of any emotional attachment you have to a club and choose the right tip.

I am an Arsenal fan and I wouldn’t dare choose Arsenal to win against Manchester City last season. It looks to be the same this season too. If you know you can’t stop your emotion from getting in your prediction way then, you shouldn’t bet on your favourite team.

I hope you find the websites useful.

Let me know any other websites you use when analyzing games to bet on.
