Leicester city face Burnley in the ninth round of the English Premier League. The match will be played at the King Power stadium.

Leicester will be looking to build on their strong start to the season by defeating Burnley. They are currently fourth and will want to hold on to that position or improve on it. They face an in-form Burnley side who is yet to lose in their last 4 matches. It promise to be an exciting match.

Match Preview

Leicester

Brendan Rodgers is presently doing a good work at Leicester. He is turning their fortunes around and Leicester are looking to compete for top four this season. They have the quality players with an attack minded coach who knows his onions. They have lost just 2 out of their 8 league matches this season. The 2 lost matches came against Liverpool and Manchester united. They lost both matches by a goal difference which shows that they are improving and ready to take on any club in England.

Their strength is playing at home. 3 wins in their last 4 home matches. You won’t want to face them on their turf. This is their strength and they use it very well. 10 goals in their last 3 home matches points to their goalscoring prowess. They face Burnley a known foe and will definitely do everything to win this match. The players are ready to go.

Burnley

Burnley are also doing well this season. They have lost just 2 matches this season all against top clubs Arsenal and Liverpool. They are currently unbeaten in their last 4 matches recording 2 draws and 2 wins. Both wins were in their home matches while the remaining 2 came in their away matches.

Decent return from them and currently occupying 7th position on the EPl table. This is an opportunity to jump to 3rd if results go their way. One player that Sean Dyche will bank on is Chris Wood. The New Zealand vice captain has scored 3 goals in his last 3 appearances for Burnley. He is on fire and will want to add to that tally.

The match will surely be an interesting match to watch. Leicester city with their attacking football and Burnley with their long balls to Barnes and Wood.

Match Prediction

I believe this is going to be a win for Leicester City. Burnley have not been convincing away so far this season. They could only draw with newcomers Aston villa and last season strugglers Brighton. The match should be a Vardy party. I don’t see Burnley troubling them for long. Leicester quality should show in this match and hand them the win.
