The first Kung Fu master to teach martial art to the world, trained many people, including Bruce Lee.

Yip Man was born on October 1, 1893

He was the third child of Yip Oi-dor and Ng Shui. He spent her childhood in Foshan, Guangdong Province, China.

At the age of 13, Yip Man began to study Wing-Chun and received lessons from the great master Chan Wah-Shun.

Bruce Lee, one of the most famous students of Yip Man, worked with him from 1954 until 1957.

On 2 December 1972, Yip Man died of cancer.
