The year 2021 is almost ending, where especially the final months I think we have had very good fights, with several surprises included. But as you know, here we are not satisfied and we want more, so today I want to select those fights that I would like to see primarily for the following year. Of course there are only some, and obviously you, as good fans, will also have your tastes, but above personal preferences there are some that I think are important for the good health of boxing in general.

Well, I'm going to start my list randomly in no apparent order, just from memory. One of them would be Haney vs. Kambosos, above all I want this fight to happen so that once and for all the story that caused the franchise title in the 135lbs division is eliminated. As I already pointed out in another post, that designation only caused problems, leading to the fact that in the end it cannot be said that there is an undisputed champion there. Therefore, I think it is necessary, in addition to that in itself, it would be an attractive duel.

Second, I would like the Usyk-Fury fight at heavyweights. This would lead to an absolute champion in the division and it would be a tremendous match. After seeing how Usyk beat Joshua and Fury won Wilder again, it is time to see a unified champion in the heavy category, especially when all these years we have been waiting and waiting for Joshua to fight against Wilder. In middleweight a fight above all is what I want, and it would be between the North Americans Jermall Charlo and Demetrius Andrade. Andrade has been waiting for a long time and seeking to unify and no one has given him the opportunity. The truth is that the 160lbs in recent years became rubbish, where everything was GGG and Canelo, two boxers who have done what they want, avoiding everyone, the most affected being Andrade without a doubt.

The next one that would be interesting is the fight between Rolly Romero and Gervonta Davis. That fight that was already fixed and had to be canceled. In the end we were left with the desire to see how Gervonta did against Rolly. It is true that the Pitbull Cruz gave him a great fight, but that showdown against Rolly is still very pertinent, and it can be brutal. The fifth would be for the Russians Beterbiev and Bivol to meet in the light heavyweight category. This is a fight that we have also been waiting for for several years. It is true that Zurdo Ramirez entered the equation, who would theoretically be Bivol's challenger, but before that, without a doubt I want the fight between the two Russians. Among other things because each day that passes makes more things happen so that in the end it does not happen, as well as that Beterbiev is already quite a veteran.

On the other hand, we still have to see the rematch fight between Brian Castaño and Jermell Charlo at 154lbs. There we saw this year a draw that did not leave the Argentines particularly happy. Regardless of the controversy, the fair thing is that rematch, and we as fans will enjoy it very well. It is true that within that category we can be calmer, because there are always good fights. If eventually Castaño and Charlo don't see each other again, we will have people like Madrimov, Tim Tzyu, Fundora, Sergio García and company waiting. Despite this, the right thing to do is a rematch and for an undisputed champion at 154lbs to finally emerge.

Finally, I'm going to the super middleweight division, and there I would love to see a match between two undefeated young men, who are David Benavidez and David Morrel Jr. Of course, the ideal would be for Canelo Alvarez to fight Benavidez, who is a combat that should have already been done. But considering that the Mexican makes and breaks as he pleases, I honestly no longer expect anything from him, so a dispute between Morrel and Benavidez can be a great fight. So far my first wishes for 2022, I hope in comments what are the fights that you want for the following year.
