THREE weeks ahead of WBA welterweight championship with Lucas Matthysse of Argentina, the eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao's team in General Santos City, South Cotabato felt so happy.

The National Boxer is showing his tremendous form this Tuesday on the spell-breaking sparring partner of Philippines super lightweight champion Jheritz Chavez with a solid right to the jaw that was delighted by chief trainer Buboy Fernandez and strength and conditioning coach Justin Fortune who both provided high score for Pacquiao.

Pacquiao stopped for 10 seconds to relax Chavez and many remembered how he beat the Mexican Emmanuel Lucero in 2003 in Los Angeles, California in the United States.

"I would say he is already 85 percent ready and we do not want him to peak too soon," Fernandez said that Pacquiao is preparing for "Fight of Champions," the biggest boxing event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on July 15 at Axiata Arena.

"He is right there where we want him to be right now," Fortune said to the Filipino who created a boxing history in achieving 10 international championships in eight different divisions.

Pacquiao challenged his own Monday morning when he ran the highest route in Maasim, Sarangani Province.

"It's a sign that Manny is trying to ask himself questions whether he still has it or not. That talks a lot about his warrior spirit, " added Fortune.

Meanwhile, Matthysse's training was also intensifying to train Pacquiao's strength under the trainer Joel Diaz in Indio, California to maintain his crown despite wasting his life.

Matthysse's promoter, multi-world champion Oscar Dela Hoya, denied that the fight could be canceled based on Pacquiao's long promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank Promotions.

"I feel very, very confident the fight is going to happen, let's put

it's way, " says Dela Hoya to BoxingScene editor Steve Kim.

"I might be there for about ten days, I want to go out there and help Manny promote and do my rounds in Malaysia. I have my plane tickets already. So we're set to go, we have a fight, " said De La Hoya.
