Briton Amir Khan is eager to meet his former sparring partner WBA welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao thinks that he can defeat the Pinoy boxing icon.

Pacquiao and Khan must have fought in April 2017 in the United Arab Emirates, but Top Rank boss Bob Arum sabotaged the match so the fight was not held.

Pacquiao fought against Aussie Jeff Horn to grab his WBO welterweight title in a controversial 12-round unanimous decision on July 2, 2017 in Brisbane, Australia.

Pacquiao's strength and conditioning trainer, former Australian heavyweight contender Justin Fortune, believes Pacquiao is much better to face with Khan in front of 100,000 boxing fans at the Wembley Arena in London.

"If I had my way, you know, Wembley Stadium 100,000 people, come on, it's Pacquiao," says Fortune at Philboxing.com. "He (Pacquiao) brought 52,000 people in Brisbane, Australia, [in 2017], they're for Pacquiao not for [Australian Jeff] Horn.

English are great boxing fans, and they love, love, love Manny. "

Khan is a former sparring partner of Pacquiao at the Hall of Fame trainer Fredie Roach's Wildcard Gym so they are well-versed in the style of each other.

"All the time I say that I'm gonna fight this guy, but it never happens. To be honest I'm just gonna chill and take this fight one step at a time. If it's Manny Pacquiao then it's Manny Pacquiao. If not, there is a lot of other good fights out there, "said Khan at TMZ Sports.

"Its one of the bigger money fights out there, but it all depends if Manny Pacquiao's team says yes. Look, Manny Pacquiao is a great fighter. I've been training with him for many years, "Khan said. "But sometimes friends have to fight each other. I think it will be an explosive fight. I think it will be a great fight. "

"You just have to put friendship to the side. It's business. I respect him. I think he's a great guy, "added the Briton. "He's done great things in the sport and you have to respect him for that. I respect him, but I know I can beat him. "

Pacquiao showed a great performance during Matthysse's fight but I'm not sure if he could knockout Khan. Khan is really a good fighter which has a record of 32 Wins, 20 Wins by KO and 4 Losses. His last fight was with Phil Lo Greco from Canada (April 21,2018) and he has an incoming fight against Samuel Vargas on Sept. 8, 2018. I'm really excited about this to happen and I was amaze by Khan that he was really looking forward for a match with Pacquiao. Hope Pacquiao's team will accept the fight against with Khan. Can't wait to see this two great warriors and friends to fight in the ring. Respect to both fighters.
