Heavyweight boxers Jermaine Franklin and Jerry Forrest will meet next Friday, July 12, which will be an interesting fight due to the quality of the participants.

Both Jermaine Franklin and Jerry "Slugger" Forrest predict that they will provide knockouts when the two heavyweights meet in the main ShoBox event.

Franklin (18-0, 13 KO) is a 25-year-old prospect from Saginaw, Michigan, who was champion of the 2014 National Gold Gloves and is an excellent prospect of legitimate heavyweight. When he made his Showtime debut in April, he defeated Rydell Booker.

Forrest (25-2, 19 KO) ranks worldwide as the most aggressive boxer than Booker, and Franklin thinks that could lead to a more spectacular finish and beat him.

Forrest, 31, is from Virginia and has boxed on the regional club circuit for his career. His losses reached Gerald Washington and Michael Hunter in consecutive fights in 2013-14.

Forrest says Franklin has no advantage over him, and he doesn't see his opponent as a brain wrestler and tactician.

Franklin, who is the favorite and A-side, will lead Showtime for the first time, but he says that while he's excited about this interesting fight, he won't let that be a distraction.

The broadcast also includes a heavyweight fight between Sweden's Otto Wallin (20-0, 13 KO's) and veteran BJ Flores (34-4-1, 21 KO's), as well as an undefeated featherweight fight in which Giovanni Mioletti (16-0, 7 KO's) will face Luis Porozo (14-0, 7 KO's).
