Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are in advanced talks over a money-spinning rematch in December, according to reports.

The two former pound-for-pound kings met in the richest fight in boxing history back in 2015, when after years of protracted talks Mayweather outpointed his rival in front of a record pay-per-view audience.

The unbeaten American called time on his boxing career after taking his record to 50-0 with a stoppage win over UFC star Conor McGregor in August 2017, but Mayweather revealed last week he would come out of retirement to face Pacquiao once again.

Pacquiao later confirmed the news in an interview with reporters in his native Philippines. "We will finalize the fight this week, either Mayweather or somebody else, where and when, what date," he said.

Mayweather comfortably beat Pacquiao in their first head-to-head back in 2015 but is yet to fight in this year.
