I have been very busy this last days, so busy that I couldn't play my daily Solo Chess game in peace. I have been falling asleep every 3 or 4 hours because I am so tired in which my ability to fall asleep at night disappears en therefore I get in a continuous circle of sleep deprived. I'm not saying that as a bad thing, there is no negativity here, I'm just giving the reasons why my post are getting less and less frequent. I really should also post less, but with more thought behind it. But back to Chess.

So I actually been thinking about a cool Dragon Ball theme, who would be who, which group against who. Unfortunately, I will not be making this theme, for Copyright reasons and I like to own my work. The other chess game I'm making is fully mine, from the models and textures, to the programs. So who will be who in this fictional DB chess game.
( I'm aware that this might already exist )

So, we start with the good guys, or better said, the protagonist. I won't have to say it if you know DB. But the King will be Goku, obviously.

But here is where my thoughts started to get complexity. Yes, Goku, he is the most known protagonist of DB or better said, he is the face of DB. He is the strongest, the fastest, the happiest, the most honest. Anybody will put him as the King right. But what does the king in Chess get for moves, that is just one step at the time. He is slow and always need for defending. Does that sounds like Goku ?! No, off course not, he should have the moves of the Queen. But we cant make him Queen.

Chichi will be the logical option for a Queen, she is the women by the way haha. No actually, it doesn't matter if she is the women or not. But she will be more suited to be the King. A fierce women who can basically beat anyone up if you get her mad enough. But now we have Chichi as King and her husband Goku as Queen. That really doesn't sound right. So now we have this complexity that sounds logical at one end and illogical at the other either position you choose. Okay, so I said to myself, lets pause that thought for a minute. If we choosing Kings and Queens,                                                                                      what about the real Royals. You know,                                                                                            with royal blood and all.

Yes, you guessed. The prins of all saiyans, Vegeta. There isn't a moment passing by in which he needs to remind us that he is royal blood. But anyways, he should be the King if we need to keep truth to the series. The problem here is, he is too strong and capable to be sitting back with little movements, and that doesn't fit his personality also. Making him King and then Goku Queen?! That might be funny, but that isn't happening.

So, now we understand where we at, and what we need. We need someone important who is respected by everyone, but someone who is also weak in comparison to the rest of the fighters. And guess who I just got in mind.

Master Roshi, yes, we all know him. He trained the most important fighters in the beginning of the series. He is well respected, unless a women shows too much skin. But can be very suitable to be a King. The small moves and the received defense sounds logical for someone his very high age. Actually, I wonder how old he is. He is either way way older than a human should be. But even with his age, he is not someone to be messed with. If you challenge him, you might find yourself disoriented and in pain before you even realized you hit the ground.

Well, that was the first and only logical answer of who should be who in the game. After that I became tired of just thinking about choosing the characters, specially when you know that there are more characters than it could fit on all the 64 tiles. It is hard to choose if you want to keep it logically, not break immersion and also simple.

Either way, it was fun to think about it, even if I just got one character. I will surely will keep thinking about this for when I have more time. If you kept reading until the end of my rambling, well, thanks for reading and I hope I gave you also a little nostalgia.
