In this championship, he conquered his arch-rival, a powerful 16-year-old Filipino chess player, WFM Doroy Allaney Jia. Not only that, the boy who is familiarly called Tata also won the FIDE Master (WFM) Woman from classical chess.

Extracurricular

Samatha Edithso has proven that age is just a number. Although still young, this 10-year-old girl dared to play above her age group.

Mentally compete Samatha has been formed since I was sitting in first grade elementary school. "When I was in first grade, I deliberately joined the extra curricular chess. I continued playing and finally won. I was very happy," said the Bandung boy.

About facing opponents whose age is above, Samantha answered briefly. "Everything is normal," he added.

Even when competing, he was very serious about falling boards and never even smiled. "For what," he replied shortly when asked why he never smiled while competing.

The father, Edithso, said his daughter was different from other chess players. If another chess likes to eat the opposing fruits if one is free, Samatha is not. "He does not like to eat the opponent's pieces or officers, even though it looks free," he said.

"He prefers attacking. When attacking is more likely to win, Samanta definitely chooses to attack rather than eat opponent's fruit."
