The chess and life game
Source of the image From my childhood I always had a special interest in chess, although I did not understand the game itself, I was impressed by the shape of the movements of each piece and I was very impressed by the way they thought each of the movements before making them. When I learned to play, I understood that it was not just any game, because of a large number of options presented on the board. Later I became a competitions player obtaining several wins at the student level. By studying and analyzing what the game of chess means and its analogical comparison with our lives, I was able to reach the conclusion that there are 7 stages that lead the chess player to have a high level of competence or success; which are the following: 1° .- Start of learning. Source of the image As in life, in chess, the learning in its beginnings is very painful, since we receive many defeats, but in each of the defeats, we manage to learn and improve the level. 2 ° .- Normal errors of a beginner. Source of the image When we are just beginners in chess, our moves are very clumsy and we make a lot of mistakes. In life, it happens in the same way, because both in childhood and in youth we are very clumsy in acting, due to lack of experience. 3 ° .- Technical or visual errors. Source of the image When we are already chess players with a certain technical level, we make some calculation mistakes, for not realizing some bright trap or play, as we can also make visual errors that are very expensive; as it happens in life where when making a wrong decision, without any precaution leads to fatal consequences. 4 ° .- Investigation of openings, half game, and finals. Source of the image The most used method in chess to obtain a high level of play is to investigate and learn good openings to ensure an excellent positional advantage in the middle game and to reach the end with a certain material advantage. In life, we all prepare in our youth through study or courses that allow you to have a preparation and be successful in your professional life. 5°.- Physical and mental conditions. Source of the image In chess, the physical state is as important as the mental state, because this has consequences in its emotional part and from there depends on the success of a chess player. In the same way in our actions of the lives depend on our physical and mental conditions, to be able to have the necessary tolerance before the adversities of the life. 6°.- Serenity during each game. Source of the image Both in chess and in life it is very important to maintain serenity, as it allows us to think clearly and avoid damaging triumphalist or defeatist thoughts. 7°.- Mutual respect between the players. Source of the image Many chess players tend to be disrespectful to their opponents and underestimate them. If in our lives or in chess there is no respect among the players, the levels as much as chess players or as human beings will never be high and they will be players or unappreciated people.
