Hi guys today I will tell you about a second ODI match between south Africa and Sri Lanka which was played tonight.After losing test series by 2-0 south Africa play vary well and won two consecutive matches. South Africa won the second ODI match by four wickets and leads series by 2-0..

The second ODI match between south Africa and Sri Lanka was played in Dambulla. Ok this match Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. SRI lankan openers come into the crease in the shape of Tharanga and Dickwella but they does not able to play a big partnership. In second over Sri Lanka lost two wickets in two balls at the scores of 13 runs: one of Tharanga who scores 9 runs in 8 balls with one four and another of Kusal Mendis who was not able to open his run account and scores a golden duck both the wickets was taken by Lungi Ngidi. Then Kusal Perera comes into crease. He and Dickwella play a small partnership of 43 runs . In 12th over Sri Lanka lost one more wicket of Kusal Perera who scores 12 runs in 24 balls with one four. Now the score of team srilanka was 57-3.Sri lankan team comes under pressure die to quick loss of 3 wickets.

Then captain Mathews maths comes into crease. He and Dickwella( who was already in crease play a fantastic inning). They both played a brilliant partnership of 67 runs and pushes the are Lanka team to score of 123 runs. Then Phehlukwayo comes into attack and gives the break through to Sri Lanka and takes the wicket of Dickwella who scores a brilliant inning of 69 runs in 78 balls at the team score of 123. Then Jayasuriya into crease he scores only 18 runs in 27 balls with 1 four and gets bold by Willem Mulder. After that Perera comes into crease. He and captain Mathews makes a partnership of 32 runs. Then Lungi Ngidi comes into attack and takes the wicket of perara who scores 19 runs in 20 balls. Now the score of team srilanka was 197-6.

Then srilanka losses more two more wickets of Dananjaya and Lakmal . One of Dananjayaat the score of 216 runs who scores 9 runs in 12 balls. Another of Lakmal at the score of 227 who scores 7 runs in 8 balls.captain Mathews play a fantastic inning. at the end of innings srilanka scores 245.captain Mathews scores 79 in 111 balls with 6 fours.In the bowling side of south Africa Phehlukwayo and Lungi Ngidi both takes 3 wickets, Willem Mulder and Rabada takes one wicket both.

After break south Africa openers comes into crease to chase the score of 245 runs in the shape of de Kock and Amla they both plays a brilliant inning and gives nice start to south Africa. That score a partnership of 91 runs 14 overs. Then Dananjaya comes into attack and takes the wicket of Amla who score a nice inning of 43 runs in 43 balls. Then Markram comes into play they does not able to play a big inning and gets out by Dananjaya again who score only 3 runs in 11 balls.then captain du Plessis comes into crease he and De cock plays a partnership of 53 runs. Then Rajitha comes into attack and takes the wicket of De cock who scores 87 runs in 78 balls with 13 fours and one six. Now the score of team south Africa was 162-3.

Then Duminy comes into crease . He and captain makes a partnership of 32 runs and pushes south Africa to score of 195. Then south Africa lost two wickets quickly one of captain du Plessis who scores 49 runs in 41 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes and Miller who scores only 3 runs. Then at the score of 231 runs south Africa lost one more wicket of Duminy who scores 32 runs in 29 balls with 1 four and one six. Now the score of team south Africa was 231-6, they need only 14 runs. South Africa won the match by four wickets in hand. In bowling side of srilanka Dananjaya takes 3 wickets.

De Kock was given man of the match for his fantastic inning of 87 runs.

Now south Africa need only one match win to won the series but Sri Lanka have to won all the remaining matches to wij this series.
