The Anti-Corruption Unit of the International Cricket Council (ICC) has launched an investigation into the Qatar T10 league.

Many foreign cricketers, including former Pakistan captain Salman Butt, wicketkeeper batsman Kamran Akmal, former T20 captain Mohammad Hafeez, attended the event but former captain Sarfraz Ahmed was prevented from going at the last minute.

Alex Marshall, general manager of the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit, says the polarity 10 league was approved given the organizers' plan and concrete information. A few days before the start of the event, the changes to the organizers and the teams made things suspicious and raised our ears, so decided to watch closely.

Alex Marshall said, "We are continuing to investigate further in this matter, disrupting fixing activities during the league of corrupt elements operating in Qatar and around the world."
