hello to all my friends here, South Africa was dominated in whole test series against Pakistan as did whitewash by 3-0, now its times to turn to see them in ODI that how they will play in ODI as its completely different format then test so it will be interesting to see who will dominate in ODI. South Africa just announced that De Kock and Steyn give rest for ODI for the first two matches so let discuss about it more and which player gets a spot in place for them.
as we seen De Kock played so wonderful in last test match by making a brilliant century, people waiting to see him again in ODI because he always plays aggressively but little sad news for his fans that he will not part of the team for first 2 ODI but let hope he will part of last 3 ODI because most of the peoples wants to see him in ODI too. De Kock form was in good touch as he scored many runs in Mzansi Super Leauge as well as in Test match too and he is one of key player of the team because current form of Hashim Amla was not good as he back in little form in test match and let hope he also back in form in ODI. South African team mostly depend on De Kock and Du Plessis because their form is good on a consistent basis. it will be interesting to see that who will get a chance to play in place of De Kock because there are 3 contenders for it as there are 3 openers in the squad.
first one is Rassie Van Der Dussen who was in tremendous form in Mzansi Super Leauge who has the ability to hit long sixes. Rassie Van Der Dussen has not much experience of international cricket as he played some T20 for South Africa but he is a very talented player. the second is Aiden Markram who is rising start of South Africa in test matches because his form is consistent in test matches. he got chance against India and Sri Lanka for ODI but his form was poor but he is also one talented player so I think that he may get an opportunity in place of De Kock because of his recent test form against Pakistan where he scored many runs and very aggressively. the third and last one is Reeza Hendricks who can bat also in middle over and scored century on debut but he is also one best opener. Reeza Hendricks also in tremendous form as he scored back to back 100 in Mzansi Super Leauge and did perform well against Australia in Australia so his place look confirms for ODI because he can play in the middle order as well as Aiden Markram but if they both playing I want to see Rezza Hendricks will open with Hashim Amla.
Dale Steyn who back from the injury and was played all format of the game and thus he looks tired as well as little back injury found in last test match so he also rested and it needed if he wants to play in the World Cup. Dale Steyn played a crucial role since he came back as first he did well against Zimbabwe and then against Australia in Australias where he also awarded for a man of the series for his very economical bowling. he is doing very well in ODI as mostly bowl on to the stumps and not give room that batsman get chance to score runs and thus he is very successful in both last ODI series against Zimbabwe and Australia. in test match, he also did wonderful bowling and gave breakthrough to his team while needed so its also nice to see that who will get chance in place of him because South Africa has many wonderful talented bowlers in the Squad.
in the first two ODI squad, South Africa has very limited option for batsman but lots of option in the bowling department as 3 fast bowlers, 2 spinners and 2 all rounders. Kagiso Rabada will confirm playing so who others get chance and who will play in place of Steyn. there are two fast bowlers Dane Patersen and Duanne Olivier and it looks like they both will playing because both are good bowler where Duanne Olivier has wonderful test match series where he also named man of the series by took 24 wickets and Dane Patersen who has good Mzansi Super Leauge and specialist death bowler so its looks confirm that this 3 fast bowler will play. Andile Phehlukwayo and Dwaine Pretorius are two all rounder where from them, I think one get chance and I want to go with Pretorious because he can do bowling as well as good batting too. there are two spinners and there is no doubt that Tahir will definitely play and if any injury then may get chance to Shamsi.
