As we all know that the test series is going to start on 1 August between England and India. In which England will host the series.  This series have 5 matches which will be played in different venues in England.  So lets have a look to these venues where these five matches will going to held. 

First match: Edigbaston,  Birmingham

Edigbaston stadium has been established in 1882 with capacity of 21,000. It has two ends one is City End and another is Pavilion End. In this stadium 50 test matches have been played since soo far.  In which 16 matches have won by the team batting first and 19 by the team bowling first. 

The highest total in this stadium is 710 scored by England against India in 188.1 overs in their second inning in 2011 and which led the defeat to India by 242 runs. 

Also the lowest total in this stadium is 30 runs scored by South Africa against the hosts in 1924 which results the win to England by an inning and 18 runs. 

➡ Second match: Lord's, London

This stadium was established in 1814. It has the capacity of 30,000. It also has the two ends one is Nursery End and Pavilion End. In this stadium 136 Test matches have been played since far. Out of these 136 matches 49 matches won by the team batting first and 38 matches won by the team bowling first. 

In this stadium the highest total is scored by Australia against the hosts in 1930, in which Australia scored 729 runs in 232 overs for 6 wickets which thrashes the hosts by 7 wickets. 

Also the lowest total was scored by India against the hosts in 1974, in which India scored only 42 runs and England won the game  by 7 wickets. 

➡ Third match: Trent Bridge,  Nottingham

The Trent Bridge,  Nottingham stadium was established in 1841 with a capacity of 17,000. This stadium also consists of two ends,  one is Radcliffe Road End and another is Pavilion End. In this stadium 62 test matches are played. Out of which 22 matches won by team batting first and 17 matches won by team bowling first. 

The highest total in this stadium is 658 for 8 in 188 overs scored by England against Australia in 1938 and then match ended in draw. Also the lowest total was scored by Australia against England in 2015, in which hosts restricted the visitors at 60 runs and then the hosts won the match by an inning and 78 runs. 

➡ Fourth match: The Rose Bowl,  Southampton

This stadium was established in 2001 with a capacitance of 6,500. The stadium also contains two ends one is Northern End and another is Pavilion End. In this stadium only two test matches have been played in which a team batting first have won 1 match and another match have been tied between two teams. 

The highest total in this ground is 569 for 7 scored by England against India in 2015, and the hosts won that match with 266 runs. And in the same match, from Indian side,  they had scored only 178 runs in second innings which has been listed as the lowest total till now. 

➡ Fifth match: Kennington Oval,  London

This Oval stadium was established in 1845 with capcitance of 23,500. This stadium also consists of two ends, one is Vauxhall End and another is Pavilion End. In this stadium 100 test matches have been played in which 35 matches have won by the team batting first and the team bowling first have won 28 matches. 

In this stadium,  the highest total is 903 runs for 7 wickets in 335.2 overs in 1896 scored by England against Australia in their first inning and that match was won by the hosts with a huge margin of 579 runs. 

Also the lowest total in this stadium is 44 runs scored by Australia against England in 1896 and the hosts won the match by 66 runs.
