The former Australian fast bowler MITCHEL JOHNSON  has announced retirement to Bg Bash League. But he is still announcing his retirement only for Big Bash League and he will be able to play all other T20 competitions over the world.

Johnson was playing with Perth Scorcher's in BBL. He has announced his name for the inaugural of twenty20 United Arab Emirates league. He will be also looking for participating in T-10 league which is as the half length of Big Bash League which will be  held in UAE later this year

Johnson had played a tremendous role in Big Bash League for Perth Scorcher's. As he has taken 20 wickets in 19 matches with an economy rate of 6.15. His best bowling in this leagues is 3 wickets with 3 runs which he picked up in 2016-17 Big Bash League semi-final. At that time he played a crucial role for Perth Scorcher's title victory.

In all T20 matches including his international matches as well as  other T20 leagues, he has played 112 matches and in these 112 matches he has picked up 123 wickets with an economy rate of 25.78.He has also played in Indian Premier League (IPL) which is to be considered as the biggest T20 league. In IPL  he has also played for Mumbai Indians, Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders.

If we go to his international career for Australia Team he has played 73 test matches in which he has picked up 313 wickets, 239 wickets in 153 One-Day International matches and also played 30 T20 matches in which he has picked up 38 wickets before hanging his boots in 2015.In 2015 when Australia won the ICC Cricket World Cup, Johnson was also the part of the Australian team.

As this will be his 37th birthday by the time of 2018-19 BBL season, according to Sam Holvorsen manager of Johnson, his reason for giving retirement is that the length and intensity of BBL is too much for a person who will be 37 at the start of this summer.
