After losing their first warm-up match against Australia, England team have bounced back with a good form. They have rung an alarm that they are ready to win the title this year as they are playing in front of their home ground. Moreover, they will get the advantage of the home pitch and also they have a strong batting line up with good death bowlers specialist.
England team have lost a toss but the results come on their way because after having fielding first England bowlers not give any hope for Afghanistan batsman to remain on strike for a long period. Jofra archer in his second over he removed Hazratullah Zazai by his bouncer ball. In his 3rd over he also removed Rahmat Shah and so Afghanistan team comes to backfoot.
But, from Afghanistan side all-rounder Mohammad Nabi played an innings of 44 runs which help them to have an average total on the board. Afghanistan team all-out for just 160 runs and also they can't able to play 50 overs fully. Their whole team back to pavilion inside 40 overs. England team has a target of just 161 runs in 50 overs with a run rate of 3.2.
England openers gave an aggressive start for the team as England is known by their batting order and also they have a good name in their team. By the way, Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy both together had a partnership of 77 runs and later Jonny Bairstow was stumped out by Rahmat Shah in the 8th over. But, Jason Roy was unstoppable and he remains till the last and with his innings of 89 runs helped the team to win with a target under 20 overs.
